00:30Yes, Alan, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that the government will continue

00:35to protect the OFWs.

00:40That's what the President promised along with his leadership

00:42in the 2024 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas.

00:48According to the Executive Board, the government will continue to cooperate

00:52to strengthen labor agreements in other countries

00:56to ensure that the OFWs will be protected.

00:59Aside from his campaign against illegal recruitment and trafficking

01:04and the mobilization of agarang, kalinga, and saklolo for overseas Filipino workers

01:09who need funds.

01:11He also promised to strengthen the One Repatriation Command Center

01:14for the safe return of OFWs affected by chaos or calamity.

01:20Even so, the Chief Executive assured that the government will strive

01:24to implement reforms to create more opportunities here in the country.

01:29Now is the time for Filipinos to leave the country to work

01:34because they wanted it and not by necessity.

01:38While earlier, the President was the first to recognize 13 individuals

01:43under the 2024 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas.
