00:00Some of the ones of Watch Out For Knuckles, everybody.
00:03Those are probably the two Jim Carrey ones that I see the most.
00:07This is a wild red carpet.
00:08There's a lot going on.
00:11What a tease.
00:12Always comes back to you.
00:13Cheeky.
00:14Always comes back to you.
00:15Thank you so much.
00:16Personally, I'm a massive fan.
00:17I've been with you since Jake and Aeneas.
00:18Hey, come on.
00:19Really?
00:20I sing Hail to the Milkman way too much.
00:21Oh my god.
00:22If you remember that as being a quote of yours.
00:23Are you crazy?
00:24The beginning of that starts off with me pushing someone against the wall, if you remember.
00:29There's like a gif of it, of me pushing this person and him spinning against the wall.
00:33And I'm like, oh my god, I felt so bad that I pushed him so hard.
00:35He's like, no, I sold it.
00:37But I'm very happy.
00:38Watch out, Knuckles is here.
00:39I'm very, very happy that you watched those shows.
00:41Do you have one of those things, which is like an obscure quote from something,
00:44which you just can't help but repeat on a loop in your head.
00:47Oh, by the way, I have a hundred of Jim's, which is far enough where I can start saying them.
00:51Go ahead.
00:52Some of the ones of Watch Out For Knuckles, everybody.
00:56Some of the ones of Jim's that I love are.
00:59Okay, because it seems like you're a comedy nerd like I am.
01:02So, In Dumb and Dumber, which is one of my favorite movies of all time,
01:05there's a scene where he's in the limo and he's just said goodbye to Mary Swanson, right?
01:10And at the end he goes, goodbye, my love.
01:13And then he gets into an accident.
01:14I have said that a thousand times, as well as, our pet's heads are falling off.
01:19Those are probably the two Jim Carrey ones that I see the most.
01:24This is a wild red carpet.
01:25There's a lot going on.
01:26There's a lot of people moving around.
01:27Lee's here.
01:28Everybody's having a really good time.
01:29I love that.
01:30We're all having a great time.
01:31That's fantastic.
01:32He looks amazing, too.
01:33Sharp.
01:34It's insane you haven't talked about how amazing he looks yet.
01:35We both are wearing mock necks.
01:36We're trying mock necks.
01:37We're really trying mock necks today.
01:38It's going great.
01:39It's the whole thing.
01:40It's great.
01:41We mentioned Jim Carrey.
01:43You've been in three films together now.
01:45Are we friends at this point?
01:47Is that normal to say now?
01:49We are friends, even though it's always amazing when you get a text and his name pops up.
01:54Yes, I got to play backgammon with him the other day.
01:57He's, first of all, such an inspiration to me as a comedian and as someone to watch,
02:01someone who can do comedy and drama.
02:03But then also as a human being, he's been so supportive and so awesome and loving
02:07and really collaborative about all these movies.
02:10When a trailer comes out, he'll text being so positive.
02:12It's just awesome.
02:14Next set is to try to befriend Keanu Reeves whenever he gets here.
02:18Can't wait.
02:19This is my friend Jillian also.
02:23We've done three Sonic movies now.
02:25Obviously, they say the best things come in threes,
02:28but is Sonic something which has more legs than that, to excuse the pun?
02:31Have you seen the movie yet or no?
02:33So the end of this movie, it's a secret, but the end of this movie ends in a way
02:37that sets up a fourth in such an exciting way,
02:40especially if you play the video games, that I hope we get to make that.
02:43I guess if this does well enough, we get to keep doing that type of stuff.
02:48I appreciate you coming to the U.K. and doing some improv shows.
02:51Did you go?
02:52Oh, I couldn't make it.
02:53I would love to do it if you go again, which I think is coming up soon.
02:55I did Hammersmith Apollo, and I did Royal Albert Hall.
02:58So Ben Schwartz and friends will come back here, but I don't know what year.
03:01I don't know if it's 2025 or 2026.
03:03We're doing Sydney Opera House next year.
03:05I hope you come.
03:06Finally, for me, who are the best British improvers?
03:08It's kind of an American art form at this stage, but who are the best?
03:11I haven't been able to improvise with many people from England.
03:14It would be something I love.
03:15I've done scenes with Jamie Demetriou, who's Stathlett's Flats, who's one of my—
03:19I love him.
03:20I did scenes with him in movies, and I love playing with him.
03:22But I haven't been able to do long-form improv with anybody from England.
03:26I mean, it would be a dream come true.
03:28I wonder if I try to do that for the next show, try to nab somebody over here to get on stage with me.
03:32As many as you can, I would love that.
03:33Okay, great.
03:34Is there somebody that you want to see me perform with?
03:36Who's a great improviser from here?
03:37Well, I'm a bad improviser, so let me try and think of an answer to this question.
03:41It's not even improv.
03:42I know, yeah.
03:43It's just an answer.
03:45I would say—well, like a panel show, they're all kind of improv, and they're ripping off each other.
03:50You're right.
03:51One of those people that are great at those panel shows.
03:53Yeah, all right.
03:54Good to see you, though.
03:55Nice to meet you, man.
03:56Thank you for being so supportive.
04:05I love you.
04:06Hi.
04:07Welcome to this massive London event.
04:09I'm sure you've been into our country before.
04:11What are some of your favorite memories of being in London or being in the UK?
04:14I love London.
04:15When we shot the film, I got to bring my son with me, so we did all the—we did the Peppa the Pig bus tour, the Grinch bus tour.
04:22I've seen everything, and we had the best time here.
04:26I'm so into London.
04:28I'm so excited.
04:29I feel like it's the best city.
04:31I'm inclined to agree, but I'm biased, obviously.
04:33I also have gotten pretty decent weather.
04:35It's cold tonight, but it's not that bad, so I'm obsessed with London.
04:40Tell me about deciding to join this franchise.
04:43Is it a yes as soon as you know that you've been asked, or do you need to have character work first?
04:47When I was asked, my first question is, is Jim in this one?
04:51Obviously, he's very much in it.
04:54I was so thrilled to be asked.
04:56It's such a great family to join, and everybody's so nice, and I had the best time doing this film.
05:00Have you had an opportunity to share some Jim Carrey memories with him?
05:04I tried to keep it cool and not gush too much or fangirl too much, but I am the biggest Jim Carrey fan.
05:12For me, it was challenging, but I kept it together.
05:16I didn't freak him out.
05:18He was so lovely and so fun, and I'm so happy I got to spend time with him.
05:22Welcome back. Thank you so much.
05:23I was with you before because you kissed Ben Schwartz on the cheek while we were talking.
05:27Yeah.
05:28Which just helped me see that you guys are a family now, surely, right?
05:31Yeah, it's really, really cool.
05:33Ben has such a big heart and lovely to talk to and lovely to be around.
05:37I mean, this whole team is incredible.
05:39From our director to Jim and the team and the voice cast and the crew, everybody cares so much.
05:48Obviously, you work very closely with Jim within the film, with both his characters now.
05:53What was your favorite unexpected moment with him on set during this film?
05:57Unexpected?
05:58Because he's a man who surely keeps his honor and power straight.
06:00You know what was unexpected?
06:01It was that he came up with the idea that I should cut his hair on camera.
06:05So I was caught off guard by that, and it was a brilliant idea.
06:09We had a blast doing it.
06:11Were you nervous going into it?
06:12Yeah, yeah.
06:13There was definitely nerves there because you don't want to mess it up, and it's his real hair,
06:17so you actually only have a few takes before you run out of hair.
06:21So, yeah, it was a lot of anxiety, stress, and excitement.
06:27And now that's another thing for the acting resume.
06:29Surely hairdresser, part-time hairdresser.
06:31Oh, yeah, yeah.
06:32What can't I do and what can't Agent Stone do?
06:34What's next for the Sonic franchise, do you think?
06:36Obviously with kind of nothing's opening in this film, what is next, do you foresee?
06:41I have no idea.
06:43I mean, that's the creative's decision.
06:48I'm down to come back if you'll have me.
06:51I'm available.
06:52I'm available.
06:54Thank you so much. Enjoy tonight.
06:56Appreciate it.
06:59Hi.
07:00How are you doing?
07:01Good, how are you?
07:02I'm really well. Thank you so much for your time. I appreciate it.
07:03Yeah, no problem.
07:04Hey, this is pretty mega, these kind of events.
07:06Pretty mega.
07:07Are you used to this kind of scale of Sonic at this point?
07:09This is my first London event, like premiere.
07:12So I'm super excited to be here and grateful to be a part of such a magnificent film.
07:20Since this is your first time at a Sonic event in London,
07:23have you tapped up Idris to ask him what we should be doing while you're in our shores?
07:28I said Idris, no, we have to work together.
07:30Like when you're not a Knuckles, like in real life.
07:33Yeah, no, I went to Charles Dickens' house.
07:37So that was amazing.
07:38Yeah, yeah.
07:39We are on the third Sonic movie now.
07:41Does it ever get easier to act opposite a character who isn't there?
07:45What's the secret to acting opposite a pretend co-star?
07:48I think we are all very comfortable in our roles now.
07:51I know Sonic's personality.
07:52I know Knuckles' personality and Tails.
07:56James and I have our chemistry that we have, so everybody's settled back in.
08:00It's just like having fun, literally.
08:03And using our imagination.
08:05And we would assume, I think, that things are in trilogies these days.
08:08However, Sonic seems like a franchise that has legs that can run and run.
08:12Is that the plan? Would you like to just discontinue?
08:14Until the wheels fall off.
08:15If the fans show up, we show up.
