That’s right, a lot of time - a year and a half in fact - has passed since Sam Fender’s iconic two shows at St James Park in the summer of 2023.
After a long break away to record his long awaited third album, the North Shields superstar is teasing new songs from the new release, which is scheduled to be put to the public early in 2025, with a series of arena shows to close the year.
This UK tour will conclude back in the North East with a major homecoming show at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena - and this is everything you need to know about the huge show.

00:00It's just a matter of days now until Sam Fender returns to the North East stage, and we can't wait.
00:05The North Shield Superstars Arena show this December will be his first gig in the North East, since his iconic two shows at St James' Park, and we've got everything that you need to know about the show.
00:15Taking place on Friday, December 20th, the gig will open with Wonder Horse, a band that started as a Cornish solo project, who have now become one of the most exciting bands on the indie scene in the UK.
00:26Previous shows across the country on this tour have seen them begin at 7.45pm before Sam Fender's set around 9pm.
00:31Unfortunately for anyone hoping to see the show, tickets for the Night of Live Music have now sold out.
00:36Tickets were allocated via a ballot system, which is only available to those who live in the North East.
00:41Only people on NE, DH, SR, DL and TS postcodes could apply.
00:47If you do want to see Sam Fender in Newcastle, some resale tickets may become available for his return to St James' Park in the summer of 2025.
00:54Getting to the arena is simple thanks to its city centre location, which is just a 5 minute walk from Newcastle Central Station.
01:00Although some parking spaces near the venue are available to the rear of the arena.
01:04These do need to be pre-booked however.
01:06Elsewhere, Redhill Bridge has a large multi-storey car park, although it can get very busy on event nights.
