Bargain hunters hit flea market

00:16But it's also a chance for people to clear out their attic, and make a couple of dirhams

00:23So how do people end up with so much stuff in their house?

00:36Organisers say 2,000 people turned out looking for a deal, from clothes to even the odd antique.

00:43And even the most mundane bargains brought a smile to punters.

00:53Flea markets have a rich tradition in Europe, and date back hundreds of years.

00:57They earned their name from the flea-infested clothing that was sold.

01:01And while the concept is relatively new to the Gulf, organisers have promised to make

01:05it a regular fixture once the summer heat has passed.
