00:00The wet and windy conditions posed by Storm Darragh did not dampen Sunderland's spirits
00:06on Saturday as they came from behind to beat Stoke City at the Stadium of Light and finally
00:11claim a win that has evaded them for some time in the Championship, seeing them lose
00:15top spot in the league and begin to start playing catch up.
00:20On Tuesday, they faced Bristol City, who at the weekend lost disappointingly to relegation
00:24threatened Portsmouth, despite having won handsomely against Plymouth the week before.
00:29With their head coach Liam Manning, their football is attacking and expansive and they
00:33will look to pose a threat to Sunderland going forward.
00:38Could this style from the Robins play into Sunderland's hands however, given how good
00:43the Blackhats have been in pressing teams high?
00:46So far I didn't feel that any team was passive against us and they always try to play, to
00:57create chances and you can have probably during the game 10 minutes, 20 minutes when
01:05we have to face a low block but it was open so far, even at home.
01:10So I like it and I think Bristol tomorrow will try to win and this is I think the mindset
01:18of the league.
01:20So the games are still open and we try to play like that as well so I hope it will be
01:28a positive game for both teams.
01:32The win against Stoke was several weeks in the making and therefore Lebris was asked
01:36whether the victory was a reward for their endeavours.
01:40Yes I think so.
01:41My main focus with the team was a little bit tactical but more about the team behaviour,
01:48especially during this period and it shows that we are improving a lot from a game management
02:00I think perspective and it's not the easiest one because with young teams you want to be
02:09rewarded very quickly and when it's not the case you can become frustrated, upset, angry
02:16and it's very contagious and one can be like that and the other one second later and so
02:22on and so on.
02:23At the end the flow of the team becomes very low and it's like a broken dynamic and they
02:31kept this positive energy until the end so it's good news for us.
02:36Lebris was also keen to share how proud he was of his young side for going through the
02:40difficult patch and coming out the other side of it with a win.
02:45Yes, it was the scenario of the last weeks.
02:51I hope they learned from this experience and we have to consolidate.
