00:00The Old Bailey has heard that schoolgirl Eliane Andam was stabbed to death by her friend's
00:04ex-boyfriend in an outburst of white-hot anger because he felt disrespected by girls.
00:0918-year-old Hassan Sentamu is accused of murdering 15-year-old Eliane
00:13outside a Croydon shopping centre by stabbing her in the neck.
00:16Jurors heard Sentamu had broken up with his girlfriend 10 days earlier
00:20and they agreed to meet on the morning of the stabbing to exchange possessions.
00:23Apparently, Sentamu failed to bring his ex-girlfriend's teddy bear to the meeting
00:27and flew into a rage when Eliane, in an act of solidarity,
00:30snatched back the bag her friend had brought.
00:33Prosecutor Alex Chalk Casey told the court Sentamu has admitted causing Eliane's death
00:37by stabbing her with a kitchen knife he brought to the meeting on September 27th last year,
00:41but he denies murder, arguing his diagnosis of autism reduces his responsibility for the attack.
00:47The trial continues.
