00:00Viva Mapua! After more than three decades, the Mapua Cardinals have once again been crowned champions in the men's basketball of the NCAA.

00:14After defeating the Benid Blazers in the finals in a score of 94-82.

00:19First up, Niko Wai.

00:22The Mapua Cardinals struggled for 33 years before they were crowned champions in the NCAA men's basketball.

00:32That's why they persevered and the Mapua community cheered for them.

00:36Their family and Mapua alumni were present at the Victory Party.

00:41They felt the success from being runner-ups in Season 99.

00:46Last year was painful for us.

00:48It's not that easy. I'm happy because it's the sacrifice of everyone.

00:53Maybe it's our destiny. We just have to do our part, play hard until the last buzzer.

00:59According to Mapua President and CEO, Dr. Doji Maestre Campo, the championship is perfect for the centenary of the university in January 2025.

01:08It's actually a result of hard work, grit, and really their passion to win.

01:16Some of the Mapua players were also part of the victory of Season 67, their last championship.
