00:00The Philippines and Chile are expecting strong cooperation in the agriculture sector,

00:05especially in cocoa cultivation and processing,

00:08as discussed in the courtesy call of the Chilean Foreign Minister Alberto Van Claren in Malacanang.

00:17President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is confident that the relationship between the Philippines and Chile will continue

00:23following the visit of the country of the Chilean Foreign Minister Alberto Van Claren.

00:28The President assured that the visit of the official to the country will be productive

00:32and that it will bear fruit the stronger ties between the two countries.

00:35The Executive Board also agreed that the partnership between Chile and the Philippines will be more possible

00:40because the distance between the two countries is no longer challenged.

00:44As mentioned by the President, the agriculture sector can be strengthened,

00:48especially in cocoa cultivation and processing.

00:51The President also thanked Chile for its support

00:54in the bid of the Philippines in the United Nations Security Council 2027-2028.

00:59The Chilean official also congratulated the visit to the country

01:02after the productive meeting with the DFA

01:05where they discussed the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Chile,

01:10as well as some regional and global issues.

01:13The diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Chile were established on July 4, 1946.

01:18In 2023, Chile became the 49th member of the Philippine Association in Cala Calan.

01:25The World Health Organization Regional Director for the Western Pacific, Dr. Saya Mau Pio Cala, also criticized the President.

01:32Here, the President emphasized the readiness of the Philippines

01:35to accept any suggestion of the WHO in promoting healthcare in the country.

01:41The President also trusted that the collaboration of the Philippines

01:45with the global health body following the COVID-19 pandemic.
