00:00The recent revelation of non-existent or fictitious personalities who received X amount of pesos

00:06in confidential funds from the Office of the Vice President behooves the House Quad Committee

00:11to dig even deeper to determine the identities or existence of at least 670 individuals or

00:18payees of OVP and DepEd confidential funds.

00:33In a letter sent by the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability

00:37to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the panel formally asked the PSA to verify the

00:42Civil Registry documents of around 677 individuals who allegedly received confidential funds

00:48from the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education when it was still

00:53under the supervision of Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:56Earlier, the PSA reported that two names listed in the acknowledgment receipts of

01:00the OVP and DepEd, specifically Marigrace Piatos and Kokoy Villamin, were not found

01:05in their database.

01:07Committee Chair Joel Chua said this is deeply troubling, so they want to investigate whether

01:11all the recipients of the OVP and DepEd's confidential funds are legitimate individuals.

01:17Next week, the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability is expected to resume

01:21its hearings.

01:23The Makabayan Bloc emphasized that it would be better if Vice President Duterte faces

01:27the panel again.

01:28At present, there are also two impeachment complaints filed before the House of Representatives

01:32against the Vice President.

01:34Instead of going through the committee, the Makabayan Bloc is already conducted signature

01:38drive from other lawmakers for the resolution to be directly endorsed to the Senate.

01:43For this to happen, the support of at least one-third of House members is required.

01:53We strongly appeal to our colleagues to read the impeachment complaint as soon as possible.

02:20The Makabayan Bloc is the backbone of the country and that's where we stand in the interest of the public.

02:28Yesterday, House Secretary-General Reginald Velasco revealed that more impeachment complaints

02:32may be filed against the Vice President soon.

02:35However, some members of the majority bloc insist that it is unlikely for such complaints

02:40to come from their ranks.

02:41As far as I know, it has never been discussed or talked about that there are complaints

02:47either from any of the majority parties.

02:50As to whether there will be third, fourth, or fifth, I don't see anything wrong about that.

02:56I am not a privy to that.

02:59On the Senate side, Senator Ronald De La Rosa said he is expecting the worst.

03:03However, he assured that even though he's an ally of Vice President Duterte, he will

03:08remain objective should a complaint reach the Senate.

03:11I am expecting for the worst.

03:12This evening, there will really be an impeachment.
