00:00The leader of the land keeps getting the backing of many camps amid the political tensions and conscious efforts of some to sow disunity.

00:08The latest to do just that is the lower house which expressed this through a manifesto of support signed by leaders and members which they gave to the president during a pre-scheduled fellowship.

00:22The House of Representatives has declared its full support for President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr.

00:28This through a manifesto which lawmakers presented to the chief executive in a fellowship at Malacanang last night.

00:34Among the key principles and commitments the lower house has declared in support of President Marquez, Jr. include defending him as a symbol of the nation's sovereignty,

00:43upholding the rule of law and democratic governance, protecting the nation from internal and external threats, promoting legislative unity, and ensuring the president's mandate is fulfilled.

00:54The manifesto was signed by the house leadership led by Speaker Martin Romualdez.

00:59Several political party leaders also signed the declaration.

01:02The fellowship in Malacanang happened after the filing of two impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.

01:09However, several house leaders clarified that no political matters were discussed during the event, much less the impeachment issue.

01:17Basically, we had dinner and the resolution was sent.

01:21We had a little chat for about an hour and then we went home.

01:27There was no truth to what was said or speculated or what other people were thinking.

01:47He thanked the continued support of the congressmen in the administration, particularly the priority bills of the administration.
