00:00Past MP Siti Mastura Mohamad has lost the defamation case brought by DAP leaders Lim Kitsiang, Lim Guan Ying, and Teresa Kok over claims linking them to the late Communist Party of Malaya leader, Xi Jinping.
00:15The Penang High Court ordered Siti Mastura to pay a total of RM750,000 in damages to the DAP trio.
00:23Specifically, RM300,000 to Kitsiang, RM250,000 to Guan Ying, and RM200,000 to Kok.
00:31Justice Kwe Chu Soon also imposed a 5% annual interest if the Kepala Batas MP fails to pay the amounts and also ordered her to pay costs of RM25,000 each to the three DAP leaders.
00:45The judge ruled that Siti Mastura's remarks made during a speech in Kemaman Terengganu last year and circulated on social media were defamatory and lacked evidence.
00:56He added that Siti Mastura acted with malice and that her defense of fair comment did not hold water.
