00:00There is a concern about the increase in childbirth
00:06that is produced for commercial purposes
00:08and also promoted through social media platforms.
00:12So I would like to ask the Ministry,
00:16what steps will be taken by the Ministry
00:25to prevent the spread of such pregnancies,
00:29especially for those who are pregnant?
00:34Thank you, Ali, for the additional question.
00:37It is very, very important
00:38because we do find that with the latest technology,
00:41such as AI,
00:42more childbirths have been produced.
00:45I would like to share with the people
00:47that the number of childbirths
00:50that have been reduced through MCMC
00:53has increased since 2022,
00:57which is 186.
00:59It has increased this year
01:01from one day in December to 1,125.
01:06And not only that,
01:08the number of childbirths
01:11that have been reduced
01:13has also increased from 2,022,
01:16which is 34,
01:18to 800 this year.
01:21Therefore, we have proposed
01:24a law to amend Article 588
01:27which states that
01:28if anyone is found to have
01:31miscommunicated information
01:33for commercial purposes,
01:34they can be sentenced to 5 years in prison
01:39or not more than RM1 million
01:44or even up to RM2 million.
01:46So I hope that the respected officials
01:49can support this RUU.
01:51And we also see that
01:52AI has also gone too far.
01:57Within 13 days,
02:00MCMC found that
02:01there were 274 advertisements
02:05on Facebook
02:06claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice.
02:10This is a very important issue
02:12because this scammer
02:13paid Mekta to deceive Malaysians.
02:17Therefore, it is very important
02:19for us to make sure
02:20that platforms like this
02:22are held accountable.
02:24They cannot be allowed
02:25to receive money from scammers
02:28to deceive Malaysians.
02:30That's all. Thank you.
