00:29The Department of Social Welfare and Development, DSWD, will also promote the Walang Gutom 2027 food stamp program in some places in Visayas.
00:42Of the 300,000 families targeted this year, 43,021 are from Western Visayas, 28,124 from Negros Occidental, 10,560 from Ilo Ilo, and 4,337 from Antique.
01:02Even so, it was not immediately targeted because many families were the first to register for the Pantawid Pamilang Pilipino Program or 4Ps.
01:12The solution is to expand its implementation in Antique and Ilo Ilo.
01:18In Negros Occidental, 16,426 families obtained their EBT card last November 15 of this year.
01:28Each of them will be given an electronic benefit transfer card worth Php 3,000 per month to purchase food from those targeted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD and the local government.
01:47We have a food basket. 50% is carbohydrates, 30% is protein, and 20% is fats, oil, and so on.
02:01For example, if it's carbohydrates, there's rice, vegetables, fats, oil, fruits, condiments.
02:14It will be exchanged for Php 3,000 to the partners or accredited retailers in the so-called Registry of BPLSO, the Permits and Licenses Office of the Local Government.
02:32The DSWD will also continue to validate other beneficiaries so that it is not certain that a family's participation in the Pantawid Pamilang Pilipino Program will be doubled when more families are given assistance.
