Xtreme Karting has reopened after a £1.5m investment and upgrade to its centre in Newbridge Edinburgh. The new multi-level track features banked corners and a corkscrew decent, the only one of its kind in the UK and specially designed by the team at “360 Karting” , is now complete, adding over 150m of adrenaline packed race track to what is already Scotland’s largest indoor karting centre.

00:25We've been operating for just over two weeks now and we're getting terrific feedback from
00:26all the customers that have been coming in. They've shopped for just over a month whilst
00:27we're building the new track. Obviously the new karts as well, the electric karts have
00:28got a boost button to ensure that they don't get overtaken by people like DRS and 411.
00:29The feedback from the customers has been fantastic. It's a new track and you get great feedback
00:30so I'm really pleased with how it's gone so far.
00:54I headed down to the starting grid to try out this new multi-level racetrack and electric
01:00high-performance karts to see what all the fuss is about.
01:21The immediate difference to normal go-karts is the lack of noise with the electric high-performance
01:27karts just soaring along effortlessly. And yeah, that was me being overtaken there.
01:34I had a great time on the new multi-level racetrack which goes up and down and has corkscrew
01:39turns and it's just, yeah, great fun and for all ages 12 and over.
01:46You can enjoy 2 x 10 minute sessions from £25 off-peak, £27, £50 on peak times and
01:544 x 10 minute sessions from £35 off-peak and £40 at peak times.
