00:00Hello, good afternoon. Well, it was a fairly damp start for many of us. It is turning brighter
00:05from the north, but that means it is also turning chillier too. We've currently got
00:09high pressure just sitting to the south-east of Iceland. That's dragging in plenty of cold
00:14air which is slowly crossing the country, bringing us a frost and even a snow risk as
00:18we head into tonight. But it's going to be fairly brief with some milder air not far
00:22in the west, bringing us some milder air later on into the week. So, a fairly chilly day
00:27on offer across the north parts of Scotland. Plenty of showers feeding in around coasts,
00:32even some wintry showers over high ground. Cloudier with some rain and drizzle across
00:36central and southern parts of the UK. We may even see some heavy bursts of rain here at
00:41times. The driest and brightest of the weather likely across Northern Ireland, southern parts
00:45of England where we're more likely to see those sunny spells, also at times across Scotland
00:49in between those showers. Fairly mild across the south, highs of around 10 degrees, but
00:54particularly chilly across the north-east of Scotland with those brisk northerly winds
00:58adding on to the wind chill here. As we head through into this evening, we will still see
01:04some cloud, some drips and jabs of rain and drizzle and fairly breezy at times too across
01:09central and southern areas. So, even though it is still going to turn chilly here, it's
01:13not going to quite turn as frosty. Across the north though, particularly parts of Scotland,
01:17Northern Ireland, plenty of clear skies, light winds, so likely to see quite a sharp frost
01:21by the time we reach the morning, perhaps even seeing some ice and some freezing fog
01:26patches too. So, a very cold night across the north, but across central and southern
01:30areas, still chilly but not turning quite as frosty. Through into tomorrow then, there
01:36should be plenty of sunny spells, particularly across central and southern areas. It is going
01:41to be a chilly day though and we'll start to see a change from western parts of Scotland,
01:45some outbreaks of rain that's heavy at times moving in from the west and as that rain moves
01:50into that colder air mass, we could even see some snow at times here, mainly across high
01:54ground but may see some to lower levels too. Some cloud and outbreaks of rain also moving
01:58into western parts of Cornwall, but as I say, elsewhere there should still be plenty of
02:02sunny spells around. Feeling chilly though with highs of around 8 degrees in the south
02:07but not pushing past 4 or 5 in parts of Scotland. Through into the evening, we'll continue to
02:13see that rain, perhaps some snow still moving eastwards across parts of Scotland. Gradually
02:19moving into northern parts of England, it may just bring a sprinkling of snow across
02:23parts of the Pennines at times and across central and southern areas, some clear skies
02:27which means perhaps some patchy frost by the time we reach the morning too. For more updates
