00:00The trade mission of Cebu Province in Fujian, China will be a success.

00:03It is possible that Chinese experts will bring natural medicine to the province

00:08for a health summit.

00:09Jesse Atienza has the report.

00:14For four days, the delegates from Cebu Province

00:19visited Fujian Province, China.

00:21This is for a trade mission led by Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia.

00:26The delegates from Cebu were honored

00:29by the expertise of health experts from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

00:34Because of the use of natural medicine

00:37such as herbal medicines, acupuncture, and many others,

00:41the memorandum of understanding between the two provinces was established.

00:45That has always been my priority.

00:50The less expensive ways of treating disease without harmful chemicals

00:57getting ingested by our bodies,

01:00and especially the traditional Chinese medicine,

01:04this is knowledge that has been there for thousands of years.

01:09Because of this, a health summit was established in Cebu.

01:14Because Governor Garcia invited Chinese health experts

01:18who are personal trainers of traditional Chinese medicine

01:22to the doctors in the province.

01:24Aside from the talk of health,

01:26the business was also discussed.

01:28A business sector meeting was also held in Fujian, China

01:33with the Mandawid Chamber of Commerce.

01:35They discussed the possibility

01:37of returning direct flights from Xiamen to Cebu.

01:40Xiamen is the capital city of Fujian Province.

01:44Tourism is a big help.

01:47Cebu used to have so many flights coming from Cebu to China.

01:54That was pre-pandemic, and we wanted to bring those flights back.

02:00We understand that the Chinese market is one of the biggest markets

02:04in terms of tourism arrivals,

02:06and that is why we want to bring those flights back.

02:10There was a very thorough and productive discussion.

02:13I hope it will flourish in the next few months.
