00:00Senator Pia Cayetano urged the councilors in Cebu City to look at the programs related to healthcare

00:07in their respective regions.

00:20and the Department of Interior and Local Government

00:23to the council members of the Philippine Councilors League Cebu Chapter Year-End Assembly.

00:30According to the officials of the League,

00:32it is important to provide additional information and updates on the programs and laws

00:37of the councilors from different cities and towns.

00:41It is very beneficial for the councilors because

00:45they have the speakers and the electors

00:48that they can share additional knowledge.

00:52Every quarterly NAMI event,

00:55this is one of the good speakers that they send.

01:00Senator Pia Cayetano also came and spoke.

01:04She urged the councilors to give importance to the programs for the health of the people.

01:10I also wanted the councilors to relay to our constituents

01:16that the first step starts with each one of us.

01:20Our responsibility for our own health

01:24and that's awareness of what does it take to be healthy.

01:28You have to exercise, you have to eat properly.

01:30That's why I joke about when we have celebrations,

01:33that's part of life, we enjoy.

01:35But on a day-to-day basis, what do we have to follow?

01:39Is it smoke? Is it e-cigarettes?

01:42I'm explaining that people have to be aware so that they can take care of their own bodies.

01:52Cayetano called on PhilHealth to arrange fund management

01:56so that ordinary Filipinos can benefit more.

02:00If we have enough funds to really take care of the healthcare for people,

02:03on the side of national government and PhilHealth,

02:06there's more that they can do to manage the funds

02:09because the collection of syntax, which I have a big hand in,

02:13even though it's my law, the syntax law, is enough.

02:16So how do you make sure that that fund can reach hospitals

02:19so that when people pay for services, it can be covered?

02:25So PhilHealth has a lot to do to update their case rates

02:29so that people don't have an out-of-pocket expense.

02:35Other important programs were also discussed
