00:00Live from the GMA Network Center, 20 years have passed, 24 Hours.
00:10Good evening, Luzon Visayas and Mingdanao.
00:15President Bongbong Marcos called to say that the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte is just in time.
00:24Following that, the President confirmed in a leaked text message where he said,
00:29if everything will be ignored, VP Sara is not important.
00:34The President also sent a message to the soldiers following the questioning of former President Rodrigo Duterte
00:41on the continued military support to Marcos.
00:45Chino Gaston was there.
00:50This is not important.
00:52This does not make any difference to even one single Filipino life.
00:58So why waste time on this?
01:00President Bongbong Marcos said that it is just in time for the government
01:05to launch an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
01:10The President responded to the media's question on his visit to distribute certificates of condonation
01:17and release mortgage to agrarian reform beneficiaries in Lucena City, Quezon Province.
01:23In the middle of this, the President sent a text message to the leaders of the Congress,
01:29when the President confirmed.
01:31The message is true where he said, if everything will be ignored, VP Sara is not important.
01:40So don't file an impeachment complaint because it will only affect the true work of the leaders
01:47to improve the lives of Filipinos.
01:50Well it was actually private communication but it was leaked.
01:54Because that's really my opinion.
01:56What will happen if somebody files an impeachment?
02:00It will tie down the House, it will tie down the Senate.
02:03It will just take up all the time and for what? For nothing.
02:08None of this will help improve a single Filipino life.
02:12As far as I'm concerned, it's a storm in a teacup.
02:16The President also asked Vice President Sara Duterte,
02:19that their relationship has reached the point of no return.
02:22Sir, have you reached the point of no return of VP Sara?
02:26Never say never.
02:28Next, the President sent soldiers inside Camp General Guillermo Nacar.
02:33In his response, the President accused the AFP Southern Command
02:38of counterinsurgency and support to the storm.
02:42He also sent a message to the soldiers.
02:45Don't be distracted by what's happening.
02:49Let's stay focused. We are all the same.
02:52That's what I think.
02:54Whenever there's a lot of noise, I always think about my job.
02:59Is it my job to fight? Is it my job to debate?
03:06Let's keep that mission clear in our mind.
03:09If we are distracted, of course, there's a lot of noise.
03:15If we are distracted, I'll tell you what to do.
03:18That's easy. The answer is easy.
03:20What's my mission? That's what I'm still learning.
03:24The President's statement was followed by former President Rodrigo Duterte's question
03:29about the continued support of the military to Marcos.
03:32Duterte said, for some, there's something wrong with the government of the country
03:37that only cares about the military.
03:40For GMA Integrated News, Shino Gaston, 24 Hours.
03:47The country continues to block the Congress for filing an impeachment complaint
03:53against Vice President Sara Duterte,
03:56contrary to the opinion of President Bongbong Marcos.
04:00The group of congressmen said,
04:02the Congress should not decide on how to do its mandate
04:09to answer the government's trusted officials.
04:12The President's statement showed weak leadership.
04:18The group added, they are preparing for the impeachment
04:23because the Vice President needs to answer
04:27on confidential funds and other issues related to his office.
04:32But according to Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzalez,
04:36Deputy Speaker J.J. Suarez,
04:39and House Majority Leader Manix Dalipe,
04:42the impeachment proceedings are not on the agenda of the House of Representatives.
04:47In December, the NBI accused Vice President Sara Duterte
04:53after she did not respond today.
04:56Some congressmen denied the second President's visit.
05:01John Consulta was able to speak.
05:04The NBI is ready for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte
05:11on their arrest in Pasay City for their investigation
05:15on alleged vices against President Marcos,
05:19First Lady Liza Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
05:22But in the end, the vice president was no show.
05:25Instead, his lawyer arrived,
05:28and the letter said that the vice president will not arrive.
05:52The first thing the vice president said was that he will not be able to go to the NBI
05:56because the House Committee is investigating the confidential funds of OVP and BEP-ED.
06:02But the committee canceled the hearing to give way to the NBI.
06:20Because of this, the NBI appointed December 11 as a new date
06:25for Vice President Sara Duterte to go to the NBI.
06:33But in the letter of Vice President Sara Duterte, some of her requests were included in the NBI.
06:55That will not be our final action.
07:00But then, we will uprise her on what we are investigating.
07:05According to the NBI, Centro will be the one to ask VP Sara two questions.
07:11We are investigating the video clips where she threatened that she already talked to the person
07:19who will kill the President, the First Lady and the Speaker.
07:25And that will be done when she is dead.
07:28We will clarify that.
07:30What we are asking for is justification, why did you say that?
07:35Reason, why did you say that?
07:37Background, why did you say that?
07:40We will ask her everything.
07:43She also claimed that there is a threat on her life.
07:46She is the Vice President.
07:48We will also investigate that.
07:50We will ask her, who did you threaten?
07:54Do we have evidence?
07:56Aside from VP Sara, there are other personalities that the NBI will send to investigate.
08:03Some of her accomplices are included in the Zoom press conference.
08:07The NBI is determined that they will conduct an investigation to talk to VP Sara.
08:13But the Vice President will not arrive on December 11, according to the NBI.
08:19On December 11, comes December 11, she is notified, for example, and she still does not want to go,
08:28we cannot force her.
08:31Maybe there is a reason why she will not arrive.
08:36It depends on the reason.
08:37On December 11, even if there is no request for extension, for valid reason,
08:45then we will consider that as a waiver on her part and then we will proceed with our final report.
08:52VP Sara's non-face-to-face meeting with the NBI today,
08:55Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, Congressman J. Cong Hoon,
09:01It is impossible that the Vice President's office does not know about the cancellation that happened yesterday.
09:07This is another chance.
09:09Here we can see that if you are powerful and rich, you don't need to face...
09:16This is also what House Deputy Majority Leader Paulo Ortega said.
09:20Without the support of the Vice President, it is not leadership if his earnings are arrogant.
09:26We are still trying to get the attention of the NBI and VP Sara about this.
09:31For GMA Integrated News, John Consulta.
09:35Stay tuned for 24 hours.
09:37Four million pesos in exchange for the cancellation of the candidacy in the election of 2025.
09:42That is what a radio commentator asked his opponents,
09:47the current mayor of Talisay City, Cebu.
09:50The arrest of the suspect was targeted by the June Generation.
09:59After receiving the marked money,
10:01PNP-CIDG quickly arrested the radio commentator, Roger Simafranca, and his accomplice in Talisay City, Cebu.
10:09After the entrapment operation,
10:11Talisay City Mayor General Anthony Gulias Jr. filed a complaint,
10:15urging him to listen to the broadcaster.
10:18Allegedly, he has something to say about the mayor.
10:23That's why he asked for it.
10:25The suspect ran to the mayor to fight against Gulias.
10:29The mayor said that the suspect asked for four million pesos to cancel his candidacy.
10:35But let me be clear, withdrawal is not important to me.
10:38I'm ready to face an election anytime.
10:40But Simafranca refused the offer.
10:42Simafranca agreed to be interviewed, but he refused to hide his face.
10:47There was a man who called me. I don't know who he is.
10:52He said that he withdrew because the minister said it's okay for him to withdraw.
10:58I said no, I will think about it.
11:03The mayor said that he asked for four million pesos to cancel his candidacy.
11:11The broadcaster and his accomplice will face a robbery extortion complaint.
11:16For GMA Integrated News, June Veneracion, 24 Hours.
11:21Little by little, Comelec discovered that they are fighting each other to win the election.
11:28On the other hand, voters in some places seem to be borrowing the Parangay Certificate.
11:36Let's find out about this from Sandra Aguinaldo.
11:38The Commission on Elections is in charge of the discovery of this new movement in the election of 2025.
11:49The Commission calls them Level Up Flying Voters.
11:54It's like we are legitimizing flying voters.
11:56It's like we made flying voters upgraded.
12:00Upgraded because it was overwritten by a legitimate document.
12:06The document, Parangay Certificate, states that a person is a real resident of a place.
12:13There are many registrants, transferees or voters of a place who are moving to a new place using the Parangay Certificate.
12:23The strategy of politicians is to borrow money from voters.
12:29Let's say I don't have an opponent here, I will lend you P2,000.
12:34It's a big help.
12:35For example, in one place, they increased P4,000.
12:39That's unusual.
12:41If the increase is that big, that's enough to elect a mayor.
12:45That's even enough to elect a congressman.
12:49Several places have been investigated and are currently being investigated by COMELEC after receiving a report of flying voters.
12:59Senator Gingo Estrada has repeatedly complained of flying voters in San Juan City.
13:06COMELEC said they are looking into this.
13:09COMELEC also added that they will conduct a preliminary investigation and will call the people of Parangay.
13:16They can face criminal charges.
13:18COMELEC will coordinate with the Department of Interior and local government for a possible administrative case.
13:26According to DILG Secretary John V. Cremulia, they can investigate this matter.
13:32If the number of flying voters in several places in the country and abroad increased,
13:36COMELEC is not happy that only 1.2 million registered.
13:40It's very low.
13:41Maybe it's because of midterm elections.
13:43Maybe that's why the number of presidential and vice-presidential elections are increasing.
13:48We expect it to increase in 2028.
13:51In places where other citizenship applies, like America, the number of registered voters is low.
13:59Maybe it's up to our fellow countrymen.
14:02One of the things we are trying to do is to compromise their application of other citizenship.
14:08That's why they are not applying as a voter in our election.
14:12For GMA Integrated News, I'm Sandra Aguinaldo for 24 Hours.
14:19The Philippines could be considered as an upper-middle-income country next year, according to NEDA.
14:26But a group said it doesn't reflect the real income of many Filipinos based on their education.
14:35I'm Mackie Pulido.
14:39In the last four decades of EJ Flores' jeepney, he only earns a small amount of money.
14:47Before, we used to earn P700. Now, it's only P500.
14:53According to his wife, they can hardly afford their needs.
14:58Life is hard, just like us. Our journey is hard.
15:03But according to the National Economic Development Authority, NEDA,
15:07the Philippines could be considered as an upper-middle-income country next year, 2025.
15:13This means that the average income of every Filipino is P4,256 or more than P246,000 per year,
15:23based on the figure set by the World Bank.
15:25The basis of this is not GDP per capita. It is gross national income.
15:32And in the last few years, our gross national income is growing faster than our GDP.
15:37But according to the Yvonne Foundation, it doesn't reflect the real income of many Filipinos.
15:43What it means is that the richest in the country earns a lot,
15:48so the average annual income of all Filipinos seems to increase.
15:53According to the study of the group, only 2% of the Filipino families earn P500,000 to P10 million per month,
16:02while 66% of the Filipino families earn less than P26,000.
16:09The average income of the upper-middle-income is because of the huge income,
16:15the lowest income is the majority.
16:20NEDA accepts that the income of many Filipinos needs to increase,
16:24and the government has plans to achieve this.
16:27They say there are only a few controls on the speed of purchasing goods,
16:31and the expansion of business and quality of work.
16:34You should take that in the context of the other things that we are doing,
16:38to make sure that the middle class grow, and the poor in particular grow.
16:44For GMA Integrated News, Mackie Pulido reporting for 24 Hours.
16:53Happy Friday, Kapuso!

17:41for the young Lili star, Miguel Tan Felix.
17:44Something that she needs for everyday since she's doing taping now,
17:51and I'm not there to accompany her.
17:56Maybe it's something related.
