Transcript
00:00Alright, hello, I'm Scott Povey from Fixed Wheel Brewery.
00:04We're based here in the Black Country, in Blackheath.
00:08We've been here 10 years, just gone, so brewing for 10 years.
00:12This side of the brewery here is what we call the hot side,
00:15so in the week we're using this brewing kit to produce our beer.
00:19We mainly produce cask beer, obviously quite big in the Black Country with cask beers.
00:25As you can see, it's just sort of getting things ready for this evening
00:28because we turn it into a bar at the weekends and we've got bands playing this evening and tomorrow.
00:34And then Monday we'll be packing it all away again to start the brewing process all over again,
00:39so it's kind of non-stop really.
00:41We've got two sides to the brewery, so this is the hot side,
00:46and then if you come through to this side, this is what we call the cool side.
00:50It's where all the fermentation happens in all these big silver tanks,
00:54and all the cask washing and all the music as well.
01:02Yeah, so this is where all the beer sits and ferments away,
01:04where all the magic happens once you're pitching the yeast.
01:07We use a few different yeast strains for our beers.
01:12And then once they come out of these and get packaged into casks and kegs,
01:15they get stored in here.
01:17This is probably the warmest room in the building really at this time of year.
01:22So, this is our cold store.
01:24That's all our casks and kegs in here.
01:27It's a bit empty this week after we've had a bit of a busy week selling beers.
01:31But it gets stored in here for a week or two before it goes out into trade,
01:36where you'll find it on nice hand pumps, so you can have a nice lovely drink.
