00:18The hearing of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability was canceled this Friday, November 29,

00:25on the issue of the misuse of P612.5 million confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education

00:34when it was led by Vice President Sarah Duterte.

00:38According to Committee Chair Joel Chua, they want to give way to the presence of the Vice President in the NBI.

00:44There is a separate hearing on the alleged involvement of the Vice President in the life of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.,

00:52First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

00:56The committee's decision was favored by Deputy Majority Leader Paulo Ortega and Assistant Majority Leader Jefferson Congjun.

01:04We believe that this issue in the NBI is very important and it concerns national security.

01:14That is why we decided to postpone the committee hearing.

01:22Don't get the committee wrong. These are both equally important proceedings.

01:30But it is also very important that the questions and investigation of the NBI be answered.

01:40Because this is not a joke. These are grave threats.

01:44For now, the committee will discuss when their next hearing will be and what will be the contents of the contempt and arrest order

01:53that they assigned to OVP Chief of Staff Zulaika Lopez, which will end on Saturday.

01:58Meanwhile, the issue of the involvement of the impeachment complaint against the Vice President in the NBI has been raised.
