En esta edición de Entre Líneas, Fernando Arreaza le hace un homenaje a Óscar Prieto Párraga, quien fue exaltado recientemente al Salón de la Fama del Beisbol Venezolano, como un reconocimiento a su trayecto en el mundo del beisbol, como dirigente de Leones del Caracas y posteriormente presidente de la LVBP.

00:00In the opening today, we want to dedicate a profile to Oscar Prieto Parraga, a man of baseball,
00:09odontologist by profession, with great influence in the growth and development of the professional ball,
00:15both in Venezuela and in the Caribbean, and in relations with MLB.
00:19Since the late 60s, he was involved with the franchise of the Caracas Lions,
00:24first with his father, Oscar Prieto Ortiz, the Negro Prieto, and then with his great key, Pablo Morales.
00:33As a director, he consolidated the Lions as the winning team in the history of the LBBP.
00:40Between the 1977-78 and 1994-95 seasons, he won eight titles and a Caribbean series.
00:48In 2001, he sold the Lions to the Caracas, but he remained an advisor,
00:54from where he added two more championships and another Caribbean series.
00:58In 2013, he left the Lions to the presidency of the LBBP.
01:03From that position, he promoted the program of Venezuelan referees.
01:08Anti-doping control, code of ethics, transmission of all games on television,
01:14revision and repetition of the challenge, among other great achievements.
