00:00I just want to ask if you've heard anything around this Chicago job, I know sometimes
00:09you say wait and see, but Cap, come on, we know how this ends in Chicago, don't we?
00:15With Matt Iberfluge being let go at the end of this season?
00:18Yeah, the feeling around the league, Kevin, is you always have to wait until you have
00:22information, right?
00:23The feeling was that if Iberfluge did not make the playoffs, there probably will be
00:26changes.
00:27And Matt has already changed his offensive coordinator, in fact, last year he made two
00:31coaching changes in season to his staff.
00:34After that great start, it's been downhill now, I heard you guys before I came on, Caleb
00:38Williams has looked better with Thomas Williams, you call him to plays, excuse me, Thomas Brown.
00:45Gosh, I've been around so long, I remember Thomas Brown as a running back, okay?
00:50So he's now a play caller, he did call plays briefly, I'm told, last year with the Panthers,
00:55but he's done a good job so far.
00:58The expectation, as I understood it, coming to this season with the Bears was, yes, they
01:02had a rookie quarterback, but they thought because they had improved this roster, Ryan
01:07Poles especially, the general manager of the personnel control, he did such an aggressive
01:11job this offseason that they really thought they could make the playoffs with Caleb Williams.
01:15And barring, I don't want to call it a miracle, but you look at it, the two and a half Kings
01:20back of the final wildcard spot in the NFC, it's highly unlikely you're going to get it,
01:24and we know it's coming here.
01:26I would tell you this though, with this job, you guys were talking about it before the
01:29break, this is a very attractive job.
01:31Caleb Williams is a very gifted quarterback, this is a good roster.
01:36The defense, by the way, that had major injury concerns in the secondary, they've got healthier,
01:41they should be better, and this is an attractive job, talking to some coaching agents, this
01:45is a job that will be coveted.
