June and Kerry Earl are closing The American Comic Shop in Chatham after running the store in the town for more than three decades.
Transcript
00:00We've got customers from when we first opened, original customers who have been with us for 31 years and have stayed with us all that time.
00:09We get new customers as well, so we've always tried to stay predominantly a traditional comic shop.
00:17We don't do a lot online, it's all shop based and it's just that we've come to the decision that we're getting a bit older and taking early retirement.
00:27About time we did something else.
00:29Do something that we want to do.
00:31For a change.
00:33It is a big thing, we've changed our days, we've gone from 6 days a week to 5 days a week and now 3 days a week.
00:39So I'm semi-retired.
00:41Semi-retired anyway, so now it's going to be just taking the next step.
00:45And finding something to do.
00:47Plenty of things to do, a big long list of things, we do other things as well.
00:51Look after our grandson.
00:53That would be nice if we were able to spend more time with him.
