00:00This ceasefire is right now for 60 days.
00:02We hope it will last more.
00:04We have neutralized all the battalions of Hamas,
00:07and we have neutralized the missile threat against Israel from the Gaza Strip.
00:12We want a future that has hope for the Palestinians in Gaza.
00:1614 months after the unprovoked aggression of Hezbollah in our border with Lebanon,
00:22Israel has taken action to completely neutralize the Hezbollah threat
00:27and take it out of the equation.
00:30Israel has taken out the entire Hezbollah leadership.
00:34We have uprooted all the military infrastructure that was prepared
00:37to launch an attack against Israel from the border,
00:41the Lebanese side of the border with Israel.
00:44And we have taken out multiple factories of missiles,
00:48drones, and we've killed thousands of Hezbollah terrorists.
00:52Thanks to our efforts, finally Hezbollah, with the blessing of Iran,
00:56has decided to agree to a ceasefire.
00:59That means that it's no longer part of the multi-front attack against Israel.
01:04That is very important and is a sign that Israel
01:07actually has managed to get a victory over Hezbollah.
01:12Now, what are the terms of the ceasefire?
01:14First, we have to implement Resolution 1701,
01:19and this is going to be done not only by the fact
01:23that there's going to be an international mechanism
01:25that is going to monitor the infiltrations of Hezbollah
01:29if it infiltrates south of the Litania River
01:32and it approaches Israel,
01:35but also Israel will maintain the right to strike itself
01:40if Hezbollah breaches the conditions of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
01:47So, sir, how long is the ceasefire expected?
01:50And what will be the approach of Israel towards Lebanon
01:53now that the ceasefire has been declared?
01:55What will be our approach towards Iran and Hamas?
01:58Well, first of all, this ceasefire is right now for 60 days.
02:02We hope it will last more,
02:04but this is a period in which we can test the intentions of Lebanon.
02:12Lebanon has committed to deploy the Lebanese army in the south,
02:16and UNIFIL will be deployed in the south,
02:19and they are supposed to do their job
02:21to prevent Hezbollah from entering south Lebanon.
02:25If they fail doing that, that will put the ceasefire in danger,
02:28and Israel, as I told you,
02:30keeps the right to defend itself by itself against the Hezbollah threat.
02:35We will not agree that Hezbollah will again build this infrastructure
02:40in order to attack Israel in the future.
02:42Now, regarding Iran,
02:46we know that Iran initiated this unprovoked attack by Hezbollah,
02:51and Iran tried to attack Israel in multiple fronts while staying immune.
02:58Well, it is no longer immune.
03:00Iran is completely exposed
03:02because we took out their missile defense capabilities,
03:06we have struck their missile and drone factories,
03:12and we even struck an element of the nuclear program.
03:16And that's why they hushed to do this ceasefire that we are seeing now.
03:23So, they will have to calculate again in the future
03:27whether they want to attack Israel again,
03:32either directly or indirectly.
03:34Now, regarding Hamas, as you know,
03:36we have given very severe blows.
03:40We have neutralized all the battalions of Hamas,
03:44and we have neutralized the missile threat against Israel from the Gaza Strip.
03:48Now, we have to bring back the rest of our hostages.
03:51We will continue putting pressure in order to reach a situation
03:54that we get our hostages back, on the one hand,
03:57but in parallel, we prevent the rearming and regrouping
04:02of Hamas terrorist organization.
04:03What is the current situation in Gaza?
04:05Like, so, is that a stable, one-leg situation?
04:08Well, what we are seeing now is that we have an Israeli presence
04:11inside the Gaza Strip.
04:12We are putting military pressure on sporadic attempts of Hamas
04:16to rearm and regroup,
04:18and we are doing a huge effort on the humanitarian side
04:22in order to facilitate aid for the Palestinian needy population.
04:27One of the challenges we have is that Hamas is taking over
04:30that humanitarian assistance,
04:32and instead of supplying it free of charge to the population,
04:36it is charging money for that
04:37because they want to continue controlling the Gaza Strip.
04:41So, the Israeli government will have to make decisions
04:43what to do in order to neutralize that
04:45because we want the Palestinian population
04:47to get the food they deserve from the international community,
04:50and we want a future that has hope for the Palestinians in Gaza.
04:54So, coming back to the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel,
04:59U.S. is actually, you know, monitoring the ceasefire.
05:02What are the thoughts on, about Israel,
05:04with the U.S. monitoring the ceasefire?
05:07Well, we have a very good, deep dialogue
05:10with this outgoing administration.
05:13We have agreed to the terms of the ceasefire,
05:17and what we are going to get in return
05:19is the continuation of the very generous aid
05:22that we are gratefully given by the United States.
05:25This aid is going to help us to get prepared
05:28for any scenario in the future,
05:30especially in the Iranian context.
