00:00The Philippine Basketball Association or PBA started last night for the Season 49 Commissioners' Cup.

00:07This conference, again, there is a guest team that will challenge our favorite local squads.

00:14Let's go back to the action here in my report.

00:18The action in the national league started again after the opening of the Season 49 PBA Commissioners' Cup last night in Fieldsports Arena.

00:27In the first game of the Doubleheader Opening Festivities, the new and improved Converge Fiber Xers led by their new import and former NBA player, Check Diallo.

00:40Diallo scored a spectacular 25 points and 16 rebounds to bring his team to a 116-87 win.

00:50The PBA debut of the Philippine-Australian basketball star, Jordan Hedding, was also anticipated by many.

00:58The former national team member made an all-around game by scoring 8 markers, 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

01:07I'm so excited about this team and I think it's justified, especially with Baldy coming in a few weeks.

01:14We're really excited for that and I know everybody is as well.

01:16I think that's going to take our team to a whole new level.

01:21In the second game, the guest team of the Hong Kong Eastern versus the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 102-87,

01:30Hayden Blankley led the visiting team by scoring 18 markers, 8 boards, 5 dimes and 3 blocks.

01:40Blankley did not change in the PBA because he was also a part of the Bay Area Dragons, which ended as runners-up of the 2022-2023 Commissioners Cup.

01:52First time on a team where I felt like I could actually give some kind of insight to the guys on the team,

01:59even though I'm pretty sure I'm still the youngest guy on the team.

02:02I feel like I can still act like a bit of a veteran just because we had the PBA experience before

02:08and we can provide insight to other players.

02:13We've been trying our hardest, Glenn, Kobe and I, to just, you know, every moment we can, I practice just little tips.

02:19And even after this game, we're going to have to make some more adjustments and give them our experience from before

02:26and what we could maybe do to change some things that helped us last time.

02:31Following the colorful opening of the PBA Commissioners Cup, the action in the national league continues.

02:38That's because from today until Sunday, there are games scheduled for the PBA.
