00:00We have new developments about the squirrel, about Peanut, and the raccoon as well.
00:06We have told you about this, Mark Longo, the owner of Peanut and his wife, they are now
00:12making it clear they are going to sue the state of New York and the various agencies
00:18that were involved in seizing and killing the squirrel and the raccoon for all sorts
00:25of alleged misdeeds.
00:27Now, you remember, and we've had Mark Longo on the show before, that Mark is saying that
00:35this seems to be a subterfuge.
00:39That when, you know, if you have a squirrel that maybe is not domesticated or you're not
00:44allowed to have them in that area, maybe go knock at the door and say, can we have a discussion
00:50with you?
00:51Instead, what the authorities did was they went to a judge and they got a search warrant
00:56like he's a big criminal.
00:58And then they send 12 people over to his farm and they say, get out of the house.
01:04We are going to search the house.
01:06And by the way, do you have any cameras in there?
01:09Do you have cameras?
01:10Are you recording stuff?
01:11That's going to become important.
01:12And then they searched for five hours, five hours.
01:17They seized the squirrel.
01:19Their initial comment was, we seized the squirrel because the squirrel bit one of the employees
01:25and we had to test it for rabies.
01:27And then we find out they knew they were going to kill the squirrel long before they actually
01:31showed up at the doorstep.
01:33So they're nonsense.
01:34They're calling shenanigans and they're suing.
01:37Yeah.
01:38He's saying there's no legit basis that the squirrel or Fred, the raccoon who also was
01:42euthanized, he's saying that neither of them had any signs of rabies.
01:46And actually a 10 day quarantine would have sufficed if they did feel, in fact, that the
01:52pets or the animals had rabies.
01:55So usually if, you know, they did have the animals illegally, right?
01:58We know that.
01:59However, he claims that these animals were domesticated.
02:02They could not survive out in the wild on their own.
02:05So if, and when they did seize the animals, they could have easily taken them to maybe
02:10a sanctuary or given them a proper place where they could live out the rest of their life.
02:15But instead, you know, according to Mark and his, his wife, they killed them.
02:20They murdered the animals.
02:22By the way, they're planning to sue over many things, emotional distress, pain and
02:26suffering, violations to their constitutional rights and lost wages.
02:31So it's going to get nasty.
02:32So mentioned the cameras earlier.
02:35So I'm going to give my opinion about what I think is really good.
02:38What's the reason?
02:39I think it's the whole reason.
02:40So Mark and his wife are on OnlyFans and they have done porn.
02:47And I think that what's happened here is that neighbors found out about it because they're
02:52high profile.
02:53Yes.
02:54And, um, and I think that somebody complained because they're pissed off about that.
03:00And the authorities, first of all, 12 people raid a place right over a squirrel, right?
03:07Is there not, is there no crime in New York state by 12 people raid a place.
03:13It's the definition of government overstepping your first question or one of the first questions
03:18you have cameras in there, right?
03:20Exactly.
03:21What were they looking for?
03:22Peanut was a pretense in my opinion, for them to get at this guy who they did not like.
03:27It's actually a pretext, but we get pretext.
03:29I want to give the government their due a little bit here.
03:32They did get a valid search warrant.
03:34It looked as though he was running an illegal animal sanctuary.
03:37It was not just peanut and Fred.
03:40And those two alone.
03:41That's all they were looking for.
03:42Eric was where the two that they were looking for, but they weren't looking for anything
03:45else.
03:46They did yet.
03:47That's what the, that's what the search warrants said.
03:49It was for peanut and the raccoon and they stayed in his home.
03:52They did nothing.
03:53They had fans, hundreds of thousands of fans online.
03:56I am sorry, but Elon Musk right now is charged with looking at the federal bureaucracy and
04:04cutting waste.
04:05If New York is using 12 people to go and without giving any warning or talking to them in advance,
04:14sending going to a judge, sending 12 people to a farm to seize a squirrel.
04:20They got too many employees there in the taxpayer.
04:22Right.
04:23We know where to start cutting.
04:24I'm sorry.
04:25Hi, I'm Iris from Virginia and I feel as though if the owners were concerned about the animals,
04:32they should have registered them properly.
04:33I have a dog, my Yorkie.
04:36If my Yorkie is outside too long, the neighbors are going to call.
04:38I've had two people show up at my house from my city and I had my paperwork, my license
04:42show that my animal is vaccinated and well taken care of.
04:46Did they get a search warrant?
04:48Well, they didn't have a search warrant, but it was for Yorkie, not a wild animal.
04:52And while I think that it was horrible that Fred and peanut were lost, I also questioned
04:56the owner's responsibility as pet owners.
04:58Which is fair, but the overkill here, I guess I use that word literally and figuratively
05:04is ridiculous.
05:05It's not like it's a tiger.
05:06It's a little squirrel.
05:07Ridiculous.
