00:00The last batch of automated counting machines that will be used in the elections next year has arrived.

00:07It was immediately put under investigation to avoid misunderstandings.

00:12Sandra Aguinaldo was the one who pointed it out.

00:18In the past elections, the most common problem was that the ballots were rolled up

00:22without printed receipts and paper jams.

00:25In a presidential election in 2013, the Picos machine was forced to be printed

00:30to troubleshoot the machine.

00:33Here in 2022,

00:35Why are we here?

00:37The voters and the crew were angry because the ballot counting machine was printed within a few hours.

00:43The Aberiyang like that wanted to avoid the midterm elections in May by COMELEC

00:48and the new provider, Mirror Systems.

00:51That's why more than 1,000 units of automated counting machine, or ACM,

00:55arrived at the COMELEC warehouse in Santa Rosa, Laguna,

00:59under the so-called Hardware Acceptance Test.

01:03This is the last batch of the machine's delivery,

01:06so more than 100,000 ACM will be completed

01:09that will be used in the elections in 2025,

01:12which should have been completed by December.

01:15Aside from one investigation,

01:185% of each batch of delivery also falls under the stress test.

01:23This is the number of hours that the machine is continuously running

01:26when there is a trial and error.

01:29This is where they discovered a few small problems with the machine.

02:01ProVNV Inc., an Alabama-based technology company,

02:06will investigate these to give COMELEC an international certification.

02:11The Department of Science and Technology will also conduct its own investigation.

02:15The international certification is mandatory,

02:19it is a requirement of the law.

02:20They will certify it if the hardware and software are properly prepared.

02:26But is it possible that the automated election system

02:28will not pass the international certification?

02:32If the MIROS systems fail?

02:34We go through a lot of intermediate checks

02:39during our manufacturing process.

02:43And after the manufacturing assembly,
