00:00Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen, Assalatu wassalamu ala Khatamun Nabiyeen.
00:25Ladies and gentlemen, Assalamu alaikum. I am Shahid Masroor Roshni for all.
00:31We have a lot of important things in life or the teachings of religion
00:37that we are not aware of the way we should be aware of.
00:42We should learn some matters according to the Shariah and the rules of religion.
00:49Most of us are such that I am including myself in this discussion.
00:54Not all of us, but most of us are such that they are not aware of the rules of the dead.
01:01They do not know what is read in Namaz-e-Janaza. This is a fact.
01:06They do not know that other matters, for example, if someone has to offer Namaz-e-Janaza alone,
01:17can it be offered or not? Does the religion allow it or not?
01:22In the same way, we have heard a lot about the torment of the grave.
01:27We have read a lot. We do not even know what its reality is.
01:31So there are many things that we should know.
01:34We should be Muslims in our knowledge and we should apply them in our life.
01:41This is the reason why Allah sent the Prophet before the Prophet
01:50so that he may teach the religion of Allah to the people.
01:55And the Prophet taught the religion of Allah to the people through his life,
02:00through his pure hand, through his pure character.
02:05So learning the religion of Islam is to live life with success and to attain satisfaction.
02:13Today, we will try to know all the important things about the rules of the dead.
02:20In fact, every one of us should know them.
02:25And we should teach our children from the very beginning,
02:29just like we teach Namaz, in the same way, with other matters of life,
02:33all these Shari'ah principles, all these rules of the religion,
02:37the teachings of the religion should also be taught.
02:40First of all, we will learn some questions that are in our minds, in your minds,
02:45and we will understand them.
02:47Respected Ulema and Muftis, please come with us.
02:51Scholars of the religion, please come.
02:53In today's program as well, like in all our programs,
02:56we have different topics.
02:58In three days of the week, Roshan Sabzi, we know, learn and understand.
03:02And to learn the religion, there is a set-up of three programs every week,
03:07according to one topic, in which we learn the religion from our Ulema.
03:12The first personality, respected Mufti Suhail Azam Jadid, please come with us.
03:16Assalamu Alaikum.
03:17Assalamu Alaikum.
03:19The second personality, respected Dr. Professor Muhammad Ahmed Qadir, please come with us.
03:24Assalamu Alaikum.
03:25Walaikum Assalam.
03:26Walaikum Assalam.
03:27Walaikum Assalam.
03:28Walaikum Assalam.
03:29Walaikum Assalam.
03:30Walaikum Assalam.
03:31Walaikum Assalam.
03:33And as I have said, most of us do not know a lot of things.
03:39This is the reason that when Eid prayer is offered,
03:42Imam Sahib tells the method of Eid prayer,
03:44before the prayer of the deceased,
03:46because this thing happens in the mind that most people will not know.
03:50First of all, Sir, tell us, the question that arises,
03:54that what is the reality of the matters in the grave?
04:01Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
04:03Sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sahbihi wa barik wa sallim.
04:08See, the thing that you said,
04:10that usually the method is told in the Eid prayer,
04:15despite that, people during the prayer are also looking at the person next to them,
04:20whether he has raised his hand or not.
04:22In addition, people are often confused about Takbeers.
04:24Yes, they get confused.
04:26So, one of our respected teachers,
04:29when he used to explain the intention of Eid,
04:33he used to say that,
04:35those who come to offer this prayer every year,
04:38they will know this.
04:40Those who offer the five daily prayers,
04:42I am telling them this intention.
04:44May Allah enable all of us to offer prayers with restriction
04:48and may He enable us to learn these matters.
04:52As far as the torment of the grave is concerned,
04:57there is a special group in it,
05:00on whose behalf,
05:02misconceptions are created on this topic.
05:06Remember that the torment of the grave
05:09and in the same way, the blessings of the grave,
05:12this is the truth.
05:14The grave is a sign.
05:17The grave is a sign.
05:19This is also called the life of the grave.
05:21Do you want to discuss this?
05:23The world and the hereafter,
05:25one is the world and the other is the hereafter.
05:28In addition to this, there is another realm,
05:31which is called the realm of the veil.
05:33Why is it called the realm of the veil?
05:35The veil is called the veil.
05:37It is invisible to the eyes of the people of the world.
05:41Now, in this realm,
05:44any human being and any jinn,
05:47when they die,
05:49they live in this realm.
05:51They live according to their rank.
05:54The protocol of the righteous is different
05:57and the protocol of the disobedient is different.
06:01Everyone lives according to their rank.
06:04Now, let me also say that
06:08many people say that
06:10what is the proof of this in the Quran and Hadith?
06:13The Prophet said,
06:16as I said,
06:18the grave is a sign.
06:20Otherwise, the realm of the veil is a very big realm.
06:23It is a bigger realm than our thinking.
06:25And the second thing here is that
06:27till the Day of Judgment,
06:29everyone has to live in this realm of the veil
06:31according to their rank.
06:33Now, the apparent grave,
06:35there is a grave,
06:37it is 6 feet.
06:39If you increase it, it will be a little more.
06:41If you decrease it, it will be less.
06:43And on top of it,
06:45a sign is placed.
06:47Now, there is an apparent grave,
06:49but what is inside?
06:51The Prophet said,
06:55that the grave is a garden from the gardens of paradise
06:58or a pot from the pots of hell.
07:01There is an apparent grave,
07:03but what is inside?
07:05Allah knows better.
07:07In the same way,
07:09there is an apparent grave.
07:11A person, God forbid,
07:13was in an aeroplane
07:15and there was an accident
07:17and he did not find any organ.
07:19He did not find any organ.
07:21So, will he not have the realm of the veil?
07:23Now, wherever he is,
07:25that is his grave.
07:27That is the realm of the veil for him.
07:29The one who burns and dies,
07:31does not get anything,
07:33that becomes the realm of the veil for him.
07:35And all matters, as they are with the grave-dweller,
07:37Allah says in the Holy Quran,
07:41Allah has made you busy with wealth
07:43until you look at your graves.
07:45You have looked at your graves.
07:47Secondly,
07:49when it was the matter of the Pharaohs,
07:51Allah said in Surah Mu'min,
07:53Ayat 46,
07:55Allah said,
08:05Allah said,
08:07Fire is presented to the Pharaohs
08:09morning and evening.
08:11And when the Day of Judgment will come,
08:13they will be dragged to Hell.
08:15So, it means that the matter of Hell is separate.
08:17But it is the matter of the realm of the veil
08:19that fire is being presented to them
08:21morning and evening.
08:23So, it is the matter of the realm of the veil
08:25that fire is being presented to them.
08:27Similarly, there is another verse,
08:33When one of them will die,
08:35Allah will say,
08:37O my Lord, return us a little.
08:43Allah will say,
08:45We did some good deeds
08:47which we left.
08:49Allah will say,
08:51We did some good deeds
08:53which we left.
08:55Then Allah said,
08:59This is a veil behind them
09:01until the Day of Judgment.
09:03This is a veil behind them
09:05until the Day of Judgment.
09:07So, the realm of the veil, the grave
09:09is proven by the Holy Quran.
09:11Now, let's come to the Hadeeth of
09:13the Prophet, peace be upon him.
09:15This is a famous Hadith of Bukhari Sharif.
09:17You must have heard it.
09:19He came to two graves
09:21and he said,
09:23Bring the tar-tehniya.
09:25The companions said,
09:27O Messenger of Allah,
09:29what was the matter?
09:31He said,
09:33These two companions were being
09:35tormented in the grave.
09:37One used to light a fire
09:39and the other did not
09:41escape the splashes of the
09:43ointment.
09:45I put the tar-tehniya
09:47The Prophet, peace be upon him,
09:49asked
09:51about the torment of the grave.
09:53The Prophet said,
09:55Yes, it is true.
09:57And the torment of the grave
09:59is the truth.
10:01After that,
10:03the Prophet, peace be upon him,
10:05said,
10:07I have seen the Prophet
10:09reciting this prayer after
10:11every prayer.
10:13I seek refuge with Allah from the
10:15torment of the grave.
10:17There is a famous prayer
10:19narrated by Abu Hurairah.
10:21The Prophet, peace be upon him,
10:23said,
10:25I seek refuge with Allah
10:27from the torment of the grave
10:29and from the torment of the fire
10:31and from the torment of the
10:33life and death and from the
10:35torment of the Antichrist.
10:37He used to say,
10:39O Allah, protect me from the
10:41torment of the grave,
10:43and from the torment of the Antichrist.
10:45The Prophet, peace be upon him,
10:47said, The torment of the grave
10:49and the blessings of the grave
10:51are the truth.
10:53Logically,
10:55does everyone have
10:57the same protocol?
10:59If someone asks
11:01that the decision has not yet been
11:03made, then why is he being
11:05counted as a criminal?
11:07I say that a criminal is a criminal
11:09and not a criminal.
11:11A criminal is a criminal
11:13and not a criminal.
11:15This means that the protocol
11:17of good people is different
11:19and the protocol of bad people
11:21is different.
11:23Sir, we will go to a break.
11:25Inshallah, we will be back
11:27with the topic of the
11:29commandments of the dead.
11:31Ladies and gentlemen,
11:33I am your host, Shahid Masroor.
11:35Today's topic is the commandments
11:37of the dead.
11:39Before going to the break,
11:41I would like to know
11:43what is the reality of the torment
11:45of the grave?
11:47You have explained
11:49in great detail
11:51that the torment of the grave
11:53and the blessings of the grave
11:55are a garden of paradise
11:57for the righteous.
11:59This is also the reality.
12:01Now, another question
12:03that arises in the mind
12:05regarding the commandments
12:07of the dead.
12:09We would like to know
12:11whether the funeral
12:13of a dead person
12:15took place in a city
12:17or in a country
12:19and then somewhere else.
12:21Can there be a funeral
12:23of more than one dead person?
12:25I seek refuge with Allah from Satan,
12:27the accursed.
12:29In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
12:31Peace and blessings be upon
12:33His Beloved, the best of all creation.
12:35I seek refuge with Allah from Satan,
12:37the accursed.
12:39Respected Qibla Allama Amjaddi
12:41has beautifully explained
12:43the concept of life and death
12:45through the Quranic verses.
12:47MashaAllah.
12:49And obviously,
12:51the preparation of the grave
12:53is the funeral prayer.
12:55Without a doubt.
12:57And in this funeral prayer,
12:59some things
13:01are kept in mind
13:03and we should
13:05carry them out
13:07in a non-emotional and
13:09religious manner.
13:13In Hanafi jurisprudence,
13:15it is clear that
13:17the funeral prayer
13:19is performed only once.
13:23Now, in some cases,
13:25from here,
13:27the dead person is taken
13:29to another city,
13:31and after that,
13:33the prayer is performed
13:35in another place.
13:37So, obviously,
13:39it takes one or two days
13:41to reach there.
13:43And now,
13:45it is a beautiful
13:47funeral prayer.
13:49And the veil of God
13:51and the veil of the dead
13:53should be kept close.
13:55You should not be bored
13:57because of yourself.
13:59Why did you perform the funeral prayer?
14:01The fundamental point
14:03in this is that
14:05the funeral prayer,
14:07as indicated by
14:09Respected Allama Zardari,
14:11is the sign of
14:13the preparation of the burial.
14:15So, the funeral prayer
14:17is the preparation of the burial.
14:19Now, the dead person
14:21whose funeral prayer
14:23you performed,
14:25a close relative,
14:27cannot be ignored.
14:29He did not even permit
14:31to perform the funeral prayer.
14:33And you yourself said,
14:35Allah Akbar, and
14:37took the dead person with you.
14:39So, this method is wrong.
14:41The funeral prayer will be repeated.
14:43In such a case,
14:45because you performed
14:47the funeral prayer without permission.
14:49Wali means the close relative.
14:51Yes, the close relative.
14:53The relative of the deceased.
14:55And it should be proven.
14:57It should not be claimed, but proven.
14:59Secondly,
15:01as written by Respected Allama Hanif,
15:03and especially by Respected
15:05Maulana Amjad Ali Sahib,
15:07that if a person
15:09is buried
15:11without being
15:13washed,
15:15before being buried,
15:17he is taken out of the grave.
15:19And it is felt that
15:21the deceased
15:23has not been
15:25washed.
15:27So, he should be taken out,
15:29washed, and after being washed,
15:31the funeral prayer should be performed,
15:33and then he should be buried.
15:35Now,
15:37this is the case in which
15:39the funeral prayer will be repeated.
15:41Thirdly, if you are buried,
15:43and it is found that the deceased
15:45has been buried, and after being buried,
15:47the funeral prayer has not been performed.
15:49In this case also, the Ulema have permitted
15:51not to make it a practice.
15:53So, in the first instance,
15:55the funeral prayer will be recited.
15:57But how will it be recited?
15:59Yes, that is what I know.
16:01There is an excuse in it.
16:03But without an excuse,
16:05to say that after every 50 km,
16:07a funeral prayer should be performed,
16:09and after every 100 km,
16:11a funeral prayer should be performed,
16:13then you are doing something
16:15against the deceased.
16:17So, this should not be done.
16:19The deceased has passed away.
16:21He is a treasure.
16:23So, once you have recited the Namaz,
16:25you have prayed,
16:27and after the prayer,
16:29you should hand over the treasure to me.
16:31I should know.
16:33He should know my matter.
16:35He should know the good and the bad.
16:37And the matters of goodness and evil,
16:39as the Qibla Mufti has said,
16:41should continue to increase.
16:43That is all.
16:45This is clear, sir.
16:47As I said in the beginning,
16:49most of us do not know how to
16:51recite Namaz-e-Janazah.
16:53Either we do not know the method,
16:55or we do not know what is recited.
16:57Sir, please tell us that as well.
16:59While I am in my time,
17:01I will tell you some things
17:03which are very important,
17:05and which are very important
17:07for the people,
17:09for the audience,
17:11for the viewers.
17:13First, when is Namaz-e-Janazah
17:15recited?
17:17There are conditions for this as well.
17:19You should be a Muslim,
17:21intelligent,
17:23and capable.
17:25Along with this,
17:27you should be aware of death.
17:29Now, Namaz-e-Janazah is obligatory.
17:31Namaz-e-Janazah is an obligation.
17:33In the locality,
17:35if some people recited it,
17:37the rest were silenced.
17:39But if no one recited it,
17:41all those who were aware of death
17:43became sinners.
17:45All of them became sinners.
17:47This is the prohibition of a dead person.
17:49This is the prohibition of a Muslim.
17:51This is what Dr. Kibla was saying
17:53in a very beautiful way.
17:55Namaz-e-Janazah is the right
17:57of a Muslim on another Muslim.
17:59Yes.
18:01Some of the rights,
18:03for example, if a person is sick,
18:05he should do Ta'ziyyat,
18:07he should do Salam.
18:09Similarly, if a person is sick,
18:11he should do Ta'ziyyat.
18:13Now, let's come to the fact
18:15that some of the conditions
18:17are related to Musalli,
18:19i.e. the one who recites Namaz.
18:21Some of the conditions are related
18:23to a dead person.
18:25The conditions for Musalli,
18:27i.e. the one who recites Namaz,
18:29are as follows.
18:31The condition of a regular Namazi
18:33is to be free from
18:35impurity,
18:37to be free from
18:39impurity,
18:41to be free from
18:43impurity,
18:45to be free from
18:47impurity,
18:49to be free from
18:51impurity,
18:53to be free from
18:55impurity.
18:57Similarly,
18:59the purification of a dead body
19:01and shroud,
19:03the presence of a dead body there,
19:05the place of the funeral,
19:07The part of the body that is obligatory to be hidden, i.e. the woman should be hidden.
19:10And in the same way, the deceased should be the Muhajir of the Imam.
19:13Now, there are two rules here.
19:15What are the two rules?
19:17Saying Takbeer four times is one rule.
19:20The second rule is Qiyam.
19:22God forbid, if someone is not able to stand and read,
19:27he can sit and read, but if there is no excuse,
19:30then he should stand and read.
19:32So, there are two rules.
19:33Saying Allah o Akbar four times and Qiyam.
19:37These are the two rules.
19:38And in this, there are three things that are Sunnat-e-Muqada.
19:41One is the praise and glorification of Allah.
19:43The second is the Durood on the Prophet.
19:46And the third is the prayer for the deceased.
19:48Now, let's come to Namaz-e-Janaza.
19:50The method of Namaz-e-Janaza is that
19:53I intend to perform the Fardh-e-Kifaya of Namaz-e-Janaza.
19:59With four Takbeers.
20:01It means with four Takbeers.
20:03For the praise and glorification of Allah,
20:05for the Durood on the Prophet,
20:08and for the prayer for the deceased,
20:11towards the Mubarakhana Kaaba,
20:13behind this Imam, Allah o Akbar.
20:15And the Imam will not say behind this Imam.
20:18He will say Allah o Akbar.
20:20Now, the first Takbeer is the Takbeer-e-Tahrima.
20:23Now, after this, when you have tied your hands,
20:26you have to recite the Sanah.
20:28Subhanaka Allahumma Wabi Hamdika
20:30Wa Tabarakasmuka Wa Ta'ala Jadduka
20:32Wa Jalla Sanauka
20:34Wa La Ilaha Ghayruksa Wa Jalla Sanauka
20:37You have to increase the Sanah.
20:39After that, without raising your hands,
20:41now the Takbeer-e-Tahrima has been done.
20:43Now, you have to say three more Takbeers.
20:45Then, the first Takbeer will be done.
20:47You don't have to raise your hands.
20:49And after that, you have to recite the Durood-e-Ibrahimi.
20:52Everyone remembers it.
20:54You don't have to repeat it.
20:56Then, the Takbeer will be done.
20:58The second Takbeer has been done.
21:00After that, if it is the funeral of an adult,
21:03whether it is a man or a woman,
21:05Allahumma Ghafilli Hayyina Wa Mayyitina
21:08Wa Shahidina Wa Ghaibina
21:10Wa Saghirina Wa Kabirina
21:12Wa Dakarina Wa Unthana
21:14Allahumma Man Ahyaitahu Minna
21:16Fa Ahyi Alal Islam
21:18Wa Man Tawaffaitahu Minna
21:20Fa Tawaffau Alal Iman
21:22Yaad Nahi To Rabbana Aatina
21:24Whatever Dua-e-Maasura you remember, you can recite it.
21:27Now, I will tell you the translation of this.
21:29O my Lord!
21:30You forgive the living and the dead.
21:33And You forgive those who are present and those who are absent.
21:37You forgive men and women.
21:39And You give life to whoever You give life to.
21:42And You give life to whoever You give life to.
21:44And You give death to whoever You give death to.
21:47And You give death to whoever You give death to.
21:49If it is the funeral prayer of a minor,
21:51then you should recite this Dua, whether it is a boy or a girl.
21:54Allahumma Ja'aluhu Lanaa Fartaan
21:56Wa Ja'aluhu Lanaa Ajraan Wa Zukhraan
21:58Wa Ja'aluhu Lanaa Shaafiaan Wa Mushafaa
22:00It means that, O Allah!
22:02From our side,
22:04Allahumma Ja'aluhu Lanaa Fartaan
22:06The death of this person,
22:08he has been forgiven.
22:10He is a minor.
22:12Now, in his charity,
22:14from his side, give us extra,
22:16give us a reward.
22:18He is coming to us.
22:20Make him a treasure for us.
22:22Make him a healer for us.
22:24Make him a intercessor for us.
22:26And O Allah! Accept his intercession for us.
22:28Now, you have recited these three Takbeers.
22:30Now, the fourth Takbeer will be recited.
22:32Don't raise your hand in it.
22:34And after that,
22:36as soon as the fourth Takbeer is recited,
22:38leave both hands.
22:40Many people do not leave both hands.
22:42Before Salam, leave both hands.
22:44Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah
22:46This is your funeral prayer.
22:48This should come.
22:50Everyone should come, sir.
22:52And as you said,
22:54we often see while praying
22:56that most of our people are not coming.
22:58As you said,
23:00people are looking at each other during Takbeer.
23:02They are confused.
23:04And this mistake happens in many places
23:06that when the last Takbeer is recited,
23:08the fourth,
23:10people do not leave their hands before that.
23:12This happens.
23:14Before Salam, leave both hands.
23:16Sir, if
23:18the funeral prayer is taking place
23:20and Takbeer is left,
23:22then what is the order?
23:24Yes, mostly
23:26there is confusion in it.
23:28Because
23:30we do not pay attention to it.
23:32That is why we are confused.
23:34Either we say, leave it or
23:36do what we understand.
23:38But the Shariah way,
23:40in very simple words,
23:42the scholars of Hanaf have said
23:46and a person came
23:48to participate in the funeral prayer
23:50and he did not know
23:52which Takbeer is this.
23:54This is the first,
23:56this is the second, this is the third,
23:58this is the fourth.
24:00So, it has been said that
24:02when he has come
24:04and give so much Waqf there
24:06that as soon as Allah is great,
24:08he should tie his hands.
24:10And after that,
24:12now Takbeerat is going on.
24:14I am saying a simple thing.
24:16Takbeerat is going on.
24:18It is known that after the third Takbeer,
24:20the fourth Takbeer came
24:22and after that,
24:24Salaam-o-Alaikum-o-Rahmatullah,
24:26Salaam-o-Alaikum-o-Rahmatullah,
24:28it was over.
24:30And now your point of view is
24:32that in picking up the dead,
24:34suppose that immediately after Salam,
24:36they are picking up the dead
24:38then Allah-o-Akbar, Allah-o-Akbar,
24:40Allah-o-Akbar, whatever Takbeer it is,
24:42after saying that,
24:44you are included in it.
24:46If you are included in the last Takbeer,
24:48then before picking up the dead,
24:50you will say the other three Takbeers.
24:52Sir, I will know this with great clarity
24:54if you allow me.
24:56Sir, I wanted to go for Waqf.
24:58I will know this with great clarity.
25:00I have been commanded
25:02to be present after Waqf.
25:04Ladies and gentlemen,
25:06for all of us,
25:08the command of the dead is today's topic
25:10and sometimes we are compelled
25:12to go for Waqf because
25:14there is a command
25:16and we have to follow it.
25:18We are discussing the topic
25:20and before going for Waqf,
25:22I wanted that
25:24what is being discussed,
25:26instead of considering it in pieces,
25:28we understand it with clarity
25:30that if someone's Takbeer
25:32is omitted,
25:34then what is the command?
25:36It is a very simple thing.
25:38The Takbeer is omitted.
25:40You have come and the Imam
25:42has said Allahu Akbar in front of you.
25:44You do not know which Takbeer it is.
25:46You have accepted it.
25:48After that, you followed the Imam.
25:50The Imam has sent Salam.
25:52Salam is of the third Takbeer.
25:54After the second Takbeer,
25:56you have joined in the fourth Takbeer.
25:58After that,
26:00the effort should be that
26:02Dhruv-e-Pak
26:04and Dua
26:06should be completed in some way
26:08so that the whole process is completed.
26:10After that,
26:12you give the shoulder.
26:14This is done.
26:16This is written in a way.
26:18If this is Khadisha or not,
26:20that the funeral will be carried out immediately
26:22and I have to go to the right.
26:24You joined in the fourth Takbeer,
26:26the Takbeer was done and the Salam was omitted.
26:28Now the funeral will be carried out.
26:30Now the person
26:32should try to
26:34say Allahu Akbar
26:36Allahu Akbar three times.
26:38This means that his Takbeer has been omitted.
26:40This is done.
26:42After that, the Salam was omitted.
26:44After the Salam was omitted,
26:46his share was taken.
26:48If there is some time,
26:50then you complete it
26:52because he will take time to lift it.
26:54Usually, it does not happen that the Salam is omitted
26:56and it is lifted immediately.
26:58There is etiquette.
27:00The biggest etiquette is that
27:02if we complete it and then
27:04it becomes a part of it, then it is better.
27:06Mashallah.
27:08Why is this?
27:10Actually, Allah has taught
27:12a lesson for humans
27:14in this beautiful religion.
27:16Look, those who are going,
27:18even before they leave,
27:20you are participating
27:22in their funeral.
27:24And if you are late for any reason
27:26or there is a situation
27:28that you are talking to someone
27:30and there is Allahu Akbar
27:32and you have forgotten.
27:34Even then, we are giving you
27:36so much permission that
27:38Imam Sahib has done the complete Salam
27:40but you follow it
27:42and become a part of it quickly
27:44so that you also get the reward
27:46of worship and the prayers of the dead
27:48are also with you and the dead are happy
27:50that you are here.
27:52Why? Because the dead does not understand,
27:54or he does not have knowledge.
27:56I think people talk on the basis
27:58of ignorance.
28:00Otherwise, Allah has given him
28:02the knowledge that
28:04which person is leaving his house
28:06to visit the dead,
28:08to pray, to go to the grave.
28:10Books are available on this.
28:12There is a need to study.
28:14There is no need to be confused.
28:16Mashallah. That is, the reward
28:18is also a prayer for the dead
28:20and also for the reader.
28:22If a person is alone
28:24and the dead is present,
28:26will he be able to pray
28:28the funeral prayer alone?
28:30Look, sometimes
28:32when such problems
28:34come up, then the listeners
28:36think that, well,
28:38he is from Kesar Subah.
28:40There will not be people to pray the funeral prayer.
28:42Who will be alone?
28:44So, just a few years ago,
28:46just a few years ago,
28:48COVID-19 has passed.
28:50There were many calls
28:52that there is no one
28:54to pray the funeral prayer.
28:56There is no one to follow.
28:58So, what should we do?
29:00So, I told them,
29:02because our Islamic jurists
29:04have written everything.
29:06That is, the issues that are present
29:08and those that are not present,
29:10whatever circumstances could be,
29:12they have written everything.
29:14This is a great favor on their religion.
29:16And it is derived from the Quran and Hadith.
29:18Look, I will say one thing.
29:20When Dr. Kibra said this,
29:22that Allah the Almighty,
29:24or by the Shariah,
29:26or by Huzoor-e-Kareem,
29:28has not commanded
29:30that if a pious person
29:32has to pray the funeral prayer,
29:34then do it like this.
29:36If a sinner has to do it,
29:38then do not do it like this.
29:40If a pious person has to do it,
29:42then give him a shroud.
29:44If a sinner has to do it,
29:46the Kalima is the tongue.
29:48Whatever the matter was,
29:50the first commandment is that
29:52after his death,
29:54become a witness for his goodness.
29:56And if you cannot describe
29:58his virtues and goodness,
30:00then be silent.
30:02That you are a witness for him
30:04on this earth.
30:06Therefore, you should keep your tongue shut.
30:08The Muslim has passed away.
30:10You have entrusted him to Allah.
30:12So, brother, entrust Allah
30:14to him on this earth.
30:16Do not find his faults.
30:18Then you see that after death,
30:20Allah the Almighty,
30:22has so many layers.
30:24Otherwise, if there were different commandments,
30:26then people would have understood
30:28that he is a great sinner.
30:30No, no, the funeral is of the same form.
30:32The same commandment of burial,
30:34the same commandment of funeral,
30:36the same protocol.
30:38Usually, the Muqtadi prays,
30:40the Imam stands behind him.
30:42This is a ceremony.
30:44And after that,
30:46entrust him to us
30:48with utmost respect.
30:50And then what happened after that?
30:52It is also said that
30:54after burying him,
30:56stand there for at least
30:58this much time and pray.
31:00Or sit there and pray.
31:02Until the time a camel is slaughtered
31:04and its meat is made,
31:06it should not be distributed.
31:08It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.
31:10Now see, this is the ceremony.
31:12If there is Jamm-e-Ghafeer,
31:14then there will be a community.
31:16Even if there are at least a few people,
31:18four, five,
31:20or even less than this,
31:22even if there are two people,
31:24even then an Imam should move forward,
31:26the Muqtadi should stand behind him,
31:28offer the funeral prayer.
31:30Even if there is no one,
31:32my servant has passed away,
31:34he has to come to me,
31:36so if there is even one,
31:38then the community is not a condition.
31:40If there are no facilities for the community,
31:42and it is not possible,
31:44if there is even one person,
31:46then he should offer the funeral prayer.
31:48If there is no community,
31:50then he should offer the funeral prayer.
31:52And then he should be buried.
31:54Here I will say one more thing.
31:56Even if someone's funeral prayer is left,
31:58if he is buried,
32:00then the jurists have also written
32:02that whether his funeral prayer will be offered or not.
32:04So the command in that is
32:06if you are sure that his body
32:08will not be torn,
32:10that is,
32:12it will not be torn,
32:14it is still fresh,
32:16then at that time,
32:18some have also written
32:20that it is still fresh,
32:22and if he remembers that the funeral prayer
32:24has not been offered,
32:26then he should go near the grave
32:28and offer the funeral prayer.
32:30It is so important.
32:32Sir, one more question,
32:34to understand this,
32:36and it is very important
32:38for many people like me to understand,
32:40that the rows of the funeral prayer,
32:42their order,
32:44and the command for the number,
32:46what are they?
32:48The statement that Ibn-e-Mustafa has just made,
32:50that if there is one person,
32:52then he will offer the funeral prayer,
32:54and there are many more,
32:56even then,
32:58and the jurists,
33:00after a lot of hard work,
33:02after a lot of hard work,
33:04in the light of the book of Sunnah,
33:06they have analyzed the issues,
33:08they have explained the issues,
33:10and,
33:12they have analyzed
33:14the Hadith of the Holy Prophet,
33:16that
33:18the funeral prayer,
33:20I will explain the meaning of it,
33:22that the one who has three rows of the funeral prayer,
33:24then Allah Almighty forgives him.
33:26So, this is the commandment of Allah,
33:28that at least,
33:30how many rows are there?
33:32He said,
33:34if there are seven people,
33:36at least,
33:38then among the seven people,
33:40the first person,
33:42Imam,
33:44after that,
33:46three Ahbab,
33:48in the first row,
33:50four,
33:52after that,
33:54two people,
33:56six,
33:58after that, one.
34:00So, this is the order.
34:02Now, the question arises,
34:04as I was pondering,
34:06why is the order like this?
34:08It could have been done by standing in one row,
34:10that six people stand like this,
34:12and one person leads the prayer.
34:14See, the order of Allah,
34:16and the practical arrangement of the Holy Prophet,
34:18how beautiful it is,
34:20that there are a few people,
34:22but spread them out,
34:24so that the people outside,
34:26if someone looks at them,
34:28they feel that there are a few people,
34:30who are standing,
34:32I am a part of it.
34:34So, it is a kind of invite,
34:36that those who are not aware,
34:38that someone has passed away,
34:40and this funeral has been kept.
34:42And the second thing is,
34:44that it is a celebration of the dead.
34:46So, the celebration of the dead is,
34:48that we are showing our community,
34:50your love,
34:52with that prayer,
34:54and this is the time,
34:56in which,
34:58even if there are less people,
35:00because in the Holy Quran,
35:02there is a saying,
35:04that there are less people,
35:06who are grateful to Allah.
35:08Who knows,
35:10who among those few grateful people,
35:12is a perfect saint,
35:14and whose prayers,
35:16can be forgiven his sins.
35:18And the right thing is,
35:20that these prayers,
35:22even after the prayer,
35:24the essence of that prayer,
35:26is that when you are leaving,
35:28then the prayer,
35:30is like a shadow,
35:32like a shadow,
35:34is walking on that dead body,
35:36and it reaches to the heavens,
35:38because when my Prophet,
35:40said,
35:42that where 40 people gather,
35:44there is a pure heart,
35:46there is a believer,
35:48so here, there are thousands of people,
35:50so now, if the ranks increase,
35:52then the ranks will increase,
35:54and when there is a prayer,
35:56then the effect of that prayer,
35:58is definitely with the dead body,
36:00and it is also said for Talqeen,
36:02because Talqeen is also a type of prayer,
36:04and in this way,
36:06the matters will move forward,
36:08so send your people,
36:10in this way,
36:12so that they remember,
36:14that the favor they did on you,
36:16they cannot pay it back,
36:18because you had a relationship with us,
36:20and you will have a relationship with us,
36:22that is why we are in your funeral prayer,
36:24because today, who is in the funeral prayer,
36:26tomorrow, who knows,
36:28what will be the condition of our funeral prayer,
36:30and may Allah give everyone,
36:32complete forgiveness.
36:34Thank you very much,
36:36Respected Dr. Prof. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri,
36:38Respected Mufti Suhail Azam Jadid,
36:40thank you,
36:42dear viewers,
36:44the way Islam has given honor to Muslims,
36:46is that Allah Almighty,
36:48has made a deputy,
36:50a caliph,
36:52and then,
36:54all the Ummahs,
36:56have been given honor.
36:58In the same way,
37:00in life,
37:02according to Allah's command,
37:04the dead body,
37:06has been given respect in our religion,
37:08that when a person leaves this world,
37:10he should be in the form of a dead body,
37:12as Mufti Sahib was saying,
37:14that there is no distinction
37:16between good and bad for the dead.
37:18In fact, respect for the dead is necessary.
37:20Any person,
37:22when his dead body is present,
37:24he should be honored,
37:26his creed should be expressed,
37:28with respect,
37:30he should be entrusted to Allah,
37:32entrusted to Allah,
37:34entrusted to Allah.
37:36We all have to leave this world,
37:38and the system of honoring,
37:40is our tradition,
37:42and this tradition,
37:44along with meeting Allah Almighty,
37:46also teaches us,
37:48that in this world,
37:50Allah Almighty has given us
37:52the highest status,
37:54as Muslims and as human beings.
37:56Remember this in your prayers.
37:58Allah Hafiz.
