00:00Yeah, today is a really important day. It's an opportunity for us to kind of launch our
00:05ideas and plans for our 90th anniversary. So next year is a very special year for the
00:09charity from its history and roots as being Northumberland Boys Clubs. Set up in 1935,
00:15incredible history of connecting with over a million young people. So today is our opportunity
00:21to share those ideas and plans with our supporters, stakeholders and members.
00:27Yeah, absolutely. We really wanted to use this opportunity, our 90th anniversary, to
00:31reconnect with all of the fantastic individuals that have been part of the Boys Clubs, Clubs
00:37for Young People and any youth movement. There'll be some fantastic stories, there'll be some
00:42fond memories. When people are younger and part of Boys Clubs and Youth Clubs, we really
00:49want to hear from those people, want to hear those stories. That's really important to
00:53us during this really important year.
00:55Yeah, so we have a regular calendar of events, which starts in January with our Burns Night
01:01Ball. Then we have our Clear Pigeon shoot in June, Golf Day in September. But as part
01:09of the 90th, we've organised a gala dinner here at the Federation Brewery. We've got
01:18that set up for the 10th of April. So we'll be back at the Fed on the 10th of April for
01:22our gala dinner. And we really hope people will get behind that and buy tables and explore
01:27sponsorship opportunities.
01:30North East Youth are one of our valued chamber members. They are one of the charities of
01:35many that are part of the Chamber of Commerce. So it's really, really important that all
01:39the North East businesses get behind North East Youth in the 90th year, come together.
01:44It's a really difficult time for charities and community interest organisations. And
01:48I feel as a community, as a region, that it's really important that whatever any organisation
01:54or any business can do, that they do do it to support young people in our own community.
