00:00So, like, again, what do you believe?
00:04Do you believe this team's the team that was, whatever, 11-4 before the Baltimore game?
00:12Because it's been 17 games.
00:15And I know it's a cheap shot, because that last game of the year they didn't play all
00:18their starters, but they're 8-9 in the last 17 games.
00:22It doesn't just extend to the beginning of this year.
00:25It extends into last season.
00:28The Super Bowl played a big part of it, and then you know what?
00:33They had an off-season where guys wanted their money.
00:37And they got it.
00:38And you can't tell me that doesn't impact the locker room.
00:42I don't care if people comment on it or don't comment on it.
00:46But I get it, Trent Williams is terrific.
00:50Great player.
00:52Great player.
00:53Don't tell me that him holding out didn't affect this season.
00:57Brandon Ayoub was talking about getting paid five minutes after the Super Bowl.
01:05Their priorities right now are misplaced.
01:10So they're not playing like a team.
01:13They're not hungry.
01:14They're not edgy.
01:15And I'm going to blame it on fatigue mentally and good old-fashioned father time.
01:23Kyle Shanahan hasn't pushed the right buttons.
01:28This thing is comprehensive as far as I'm concerned.
01:32And you've been consistent since the off-season that you didn't like how it looks.
01:36And it's your prerogative and your mind, and you can feel how you feel, Stonnie.
01:40I feel differently because I just felt like, you know, when you're going up for a contract
01:45or somebody else that's your business, I still need to be the best goo I can be.
01:49But I'm wondering why that Robin call, why I'm running hot.
01:53And the reason I'm running hot is because you talk about the impact on the locker room.
01:59And you can feel how you feel, and I think it's valid about this stuff in the off-season.
02:04But you can't tell me when Kyle stepped to the podium, I'm not letting this go, and said
02:09that Pepper overreacted and basically sided and gave Debo the license to put his hands
02:16on the player.
02:17You can't tell me, Stonnie, because if I had a uniform in that locker room, I don't care
02:21if it's the lone snapper.
02:23And I saw my coach go up there and basically to call me out and say I was the one wrong,
02:29the victim.
02:30You can't tell me that's not perpetrated in that, all in that locker room that people
02:35are like, oh, really?
02:37So if we can go there and you can hold on to how the locker room was impacted with the
02:42contract, I can damn sure stand up and say, I don't think Kyle handled that right, saying
02:48that Pepper overreacted and basically Debo had a license to do what he did.
02:54And then Debo plays like garbage and then leaves, and he's a captain that's supposed
02:59to be a role model.
03:01All that stuff is lumped into me.
03:03Bottom line is when Debo Samuel did his thing, they were 500.
03:07Like, there has been no turning point.
03:10There's been no pivotal moment.
03:13They haven't played well, and then all of a sudden not played well.
03:17They've played the same way all year long.
03:20But it was a sign of frustration.
03:22Yeah, of course it was.
03:23And it's not getting better.
03:25And now you dipped out and didn't even talk to the media.
03:28But do you?
03:31We can run down the list and just start hammering guys.
03:34I'm not hammering them.
03:35Well, I mean, I'm just saying.
03:36I want to hear a talk after the game.
03:38Why?
03:39He's going to say, you know, we still have time.
03:41We can get it.
03:42We can figure it out.
03:43I want to ask about your game.
03:45What's happened to you?
03:46And he might have a few answers that don't have anything to do with him.
03:51OK, so rather than...
03:53So he should throw people under the bus?
03:55I don't know.
03:56Well, that wouldn't help anybody, I don't think.
03:58He wouldn't catch it.
03:59But the reality of the situation is, to me, oh, the Debo situation.
04:05OK, well, they weren't winning before that, and they were not winning after it.
04:09Well, what about Bosa being out and Trent Williams being out?
04:14They weren't winning with those guys playing.
04:19You can't point to any moment in the season I don't feel and say, boy, everything changed
04:25then.
04:26No, the problem with this season is nothing has changed.
04:29Well, you said it changed in the offseason coming into the season.
04:32Exactly.
04:33And maybe it changed on Christmas.
04:35I don't know.
04:37Let's go to Tony in Oakland.
04:40What's going on, Tony?
04:41How you doing?
04:43I'm doing good, man.
04:44How y'all doing?
04:45Doing well.
04:46Hey, so I'm a long, long time 49er fan.
04:49Matter of fact, when I was 17, I watched the catch.
04:52So my thing is I've been watching preseason this season, and I saw Dobbs, and I was like,
04:59yo, that is our backup.
05:01I ain't seen nothing that that Allen dude did, nothing, on the field, period.
05:05So my point is, I think Kyle plays favorites because you see how Jordan Mason was running
05:10just like, and it's like McCabe comes, he just shut down.
05:13Like, why?
05:14Why is Kyle making those type of decisions in moments of as critical as a moment as this
05:19is in the season?
05:20He just makes decisions.
05:22If you watch play, if you watch play football, okay, if you watch football play, there's
05:28no way that Allen outplayed Dobbs this season.
05:30I'm sorry.
05:31That's all I got.
05:32Yeah, we have no idea because Allen and Dobbs have not played.
05:38So Kyle made a decision based on how they practice.
05:43And maybe he's made the wrong decision.
05:45Maybe Dobbs should have been playing and probably would have did no better, but he don't have
05:49a broken digit on his.
05:51And that's the thing.
05:52And maybe we should do that.
05:54But you know, every every Monday we come in here and they lose.
05:59It's never one thing.
06:00And that's why I don't think they're a very good team.
06:03I don't think Dobbs wins that game tomorrow, yesterday, because he makes it closer below
06:08Maybe.
06:09Out of the seasons, Donnie.
06:10I don't think if Jordan Mason runs more, they win that game.
06:12They may have been better.
06:14But.
06:15Well, who's to say if Deebo's 87-yard run back to start the second half is hellbent?
06:20And if that's the way you want to.
06:21Yeah.
06:22You got a ball game.
06:23Well, then bring back the same team.
06:24Keep doing what you're doing and hopefully you'll start getting breaks.
06:28I don't know.
06:29I don't know what to tell you.
06:30But you're asking two different questions.
06:31And I know it's.
06:32When are you going to acknowledge that this team's not very good?
06:36That's my first question.
06:38Why do you.
06:39Why do we all think this team is a 13 and four team when they haven't shown you there
06:43are 13 and 14 for the last 17 games, including last year and the first 11 this year?
06:51You get the benefit of the doubt for this for 17 games.
06:54No.
06:55For five years.
06:56There are eight years.
06:57But there are eight and nine.
06:58OK.
06:59Over the last 17.
07:00And you still think that they're a Super Bowl contender.
07:02No, I didn't.
07:03You know, I don't think they're a Super Bowl contender.
07:05I'm perplexed where they're at right now.
07:07Five and six.
07:08Well, I can tell you a million reasons why that's there.
07:12They've gotten older season.
07:13They've gotten old.
07:15They're big players have played 12 playoff games in the last five years.
07:18He's gotten more questionable.
07:20OK, but that's the more important in the age to me then do something.
07:25If you think the coach is the problem, then they have to make a move.
07:30I don't necessarily think the coach is this big a problem.
07:34I don't think they have their priorities in order as players.
07:37You have no problem.
07:38I mean, I mean, seriously, I'd like I'm not you got to have a problem.
07:45This is the same issue we talked to Steve Kerr about.
07:49If you don't want Steve Kerr to lean on veterans, then you need a new coach because that's who
07:55he is.
07:56If you don't want Kyle Shanahan to utilize what he thinks is the best running back in
08:01football as much as possible and he needs to split time with Mason, I think then it's
08:07fair.
08:08You need another coach because that's who he is.
08:12And that's what has been successful for Shanahan for seven or eight years.
08:17And I don't think it's as easy as we'll switch it, change it.
08:21It's like, you know, it's like asking Jim Boeheim, hey, you know what?
08:25We're having a bad year.
08:26Let's not play that zone.
08:28That's been a staple of our off of our defense for twenty five years.
08:32It's like, go ahead and get another coach in here.
08:35Get Dan Campbell in here.
08:36He likes to utilize two backs.
08:39But again, I just think it's I just think it's so much more than who we use the backup
08:46quarterback.
08:47How many times McCaffrey runs the defense has not.
08:53It's been comprehensive again.
08:55The defense has not gotten one big stop, it feels like all year long.
09:01The offense has not had one big score, it feels like all year long.
09:04They stopped Tampa Bay to have for you to win that game.
09:07All right.
09:08Well, I know that's the short, not a lot.
09:11But I mean, so where's Lynch in all this then if if they've gotten old overnight?
09:16What's realistic?
09:17What can you do?
09:18Who do you know?
09:19And here's the other thing, you know, but but again, because you got six games left
09:23during the summer.
09:25Just just acknowledge that during the summer.
09:30A lot of people out there were like, oh, you got to just pay you.
09:33You got to just pay Trent.
09:35You got to just pay McCaffrey.
09:37Well, that impacts your depth.
09:39And then you pay these three guys and all of them are subpar.
09:44They've all been subpar.
09:47So you've you've not only you not only paid three big boys big money.
09:53You're not producing.
09:54And then your team doesn't have enough depth to withstand injuries, even though, again,
10:03your big boys, for the most part, outside of McCaffrey have been there.
10:07Purdy's been healthy.
10:08Kittle's been healthy.
10:09Jennings has been healthy.
10:10You've been healthy.
10:11Bose has been healthy.
10:13Warner's been healthy.
10:14Banks, Brendel, Jair Brown, Lenore, McKivitt's, Poonie.
10:19They haven't missed a game.
10:20Debo Six, Trent Williams.
10:22He's been healthy.
10:23Malik Collins, Burford, healthy.
10:26It's like Debo Samuel, healthy.
10:28Yes, McCaffrey's been hurt.
10:31And if you want to blame it on injuries, you can blame it on injuries.
10:35I think it's far deeper and more comprehensive than that.
10:39I think they've had plenty of of quality players who have been healthy, who should have this
10:45team playing with more wins under their belt.
10:49That's just me.
10:50That's just me.
10:51I'm looking at the moneymakers on the team.
10:54And outside of McCaffrey, and even Brandon Ayuk, seven games he played to start the season,
11:01he was not very good.
11:03And you know what?
11:04I blame him, and I blame Lynch and Shanahan, because they let it get to the point where
11:08it ended up getting to, and I think the chickens are coming home to roost.
