00:06stressful, but there's going to be stress. I'm more stressed. I'd rather just do it. I'd rather
00:12just do it and worry about someone else doing it and messing it up. But that's part of letting go
00:17and letting other people take some control. I'm working on it. All right. Butterballs free Turkey

00:32Hi. Good morning. Happy Thanksgiving week. Happy Thanksgiving week. All right, Tyler,
00:38this will be your sixth Thanksgiving on the Butterball Turkey talk line. What are the most
00:44common questions? Yes, six years, I can't believe it. So many questions that are rolling in right
00:51now are about thawing. And there is still time. So your husband does not need to worry.
00:59It takes about a day for every four pounds to thaw in the fridge. And if you don't have that
01:05time available to you, you can also do our cold water thaw, which is a rapid thaw method. But
01:11also we have a wonderful new product out for folks. It's our whole Turkey,
01:16Butterball whole Turkey cooked from frozen. So it takes out the stress and the mess and it can
01:21really ease those worries on Thanksgiving Day because this product can be taken out of the
01:26package, go right in the roasting pan and cooking in the oven until fully cooked and ready for
01:32Thanksgiving dinner. OK, well, that one's all right. That's good news. All right.
01:38I'm sure you've heard it all. But what is the most unique or surprising things people have
01:44asked about their turkey? People try to get very creative on Thanksgiving Day,
01:51and we love to foster creativity and we want people to try different spices and flavoring,
01:57but cooking a turkey does not need to be complicated. And we try to instill confidence
02:03in our veteran cooks as well as our first time hosts. So really just doing a little bit of oil,
02:08salt and pepper on your turkey and putting in the oven, it could be stress free and you don't
02:14have to overcomplicate things. Those are helpful tips. If you have any others that you can share,
02:21I think it's important people haven't picked theirs out yet. What's the calculation for
02:25how many guests you're hosting and how many pounds your turkey should be?
02:30So it all depends on if you want to have leftovers or not. Normally we say about a
02:35pound and a half per person, but you can do up to two pounds per person if you want leftovers.
02:40We have wonderful calculations and conversions on our Butterball.com website, so you can go there,
02:46you can find out where you can buy your turkey, as well as how many pounds, how long to cook,
02:52how long to thaw. We have all of that information right there at your fingertips.
02:56So a 16 pound turkey for four people is way too much. I'll let my husband know that.
