00:00My heart went out to her because I know how that vacuum feels.
00:03It's what I think deep down I was hoping for and waiting for.
00:06I knew that I will be there for Janhvi and Khushi to the best of my capacity.
00:30So it's been, Janhvi, for you, a daunting and a sensitive year.
00:35But you also have, I think, been enveloped by this wonderful family.
00:39I mean, you know, with Anshula and Arjun
00:41and the whole dynamic between all of you.
00:43Was that, for you, initially overwhelming?
00:47That, you know, you were going from one phase emotionally to another.
00:50How did you handle it all?
00:52I think I found it comforting for me to just cling on to it as hard as I could.
00:56And that's just how I looked at it, and that's what I've been doing.
01:00And I think that it's just brought a sense of security and comfort and love.
01:05And I think that I wasn't overwhelmed by anything in terms of it.
01:10I never overthought it. It just felt right. It felt nice.
01:13I felt like this is what I wanted.
01:18It's what, I think, deep down I was hoping for and waiting for.
01:27The moment changes everything.
01:29And I've been through that moment.
01:32And I wouldn't wish it for my worst enemy.
01:34Whatever I did or whatever me and Anshula have done or reacted,
01:38was an impulse out of pure honesty to knowing
01:41that we would have needed somebody at that time.
01:44And perhaps we couldn't have that at that point, as much as we'd liked.
01:49But that doesn't mean that Janhvi and Khushi shouldn't.
01:52But at that point, it stemmed purely out of
01:54being a good son to my father, because that's the first impulse.
01:58My mother would have wanted that.
01:59If she was alive, the first thing she would have said is,
02:02go be there. Make sure you are there.
02:04Don't hold any grudges, because your life is too short.
02:08And it took me some time to get the courage to ask Anshula
02:11that I feel this is the right thing, what do you feel?
02:13Because I needed her consent at the end of the day.
02:15I'm going to be able to only do this if I have her by my side.
02:19And I still remember, it was 2 or 3 in the morning.
02:21She had no idea because she was in the hospital.
02:232 or 3 in the morning. She had no idea because it was that late at night.
02:27And I called her and she said...
02:29The first thing she said, where are the girls?
02:32And at that point, I knew that I will be there for Janhvi and Khushi
02:35to the best of my capacity, as long as I can be.
02:40It wasn't so much about I will be a brother to them
02:42or I will be this and I will do that.
02:44It was just be there because they will not know what is hitting them
02:47because it was going to be a storm. And it was a storm.
02:50And they conducted themselves with utmost dignity.
03:01We both, and of course, Anshula and Khushi are included in this.
03:04When I say this, we've had our backbone snapped.
03:07Yeah.
03:07And then handed a new life to deal with it.
03:09Yeah.
03:09So, it's like being handicapped for the rest of eternity.
03:13Right.
03:13But learning how to walk again and deal with
03:16perhaps the most amazing life you're going to get.
03:18To be an actor, to be loved by the world,
03:21to be watched on the big screen
03:23is everything and more that one dreams of achieving.
03:26But you don't have that one person that you want to come back home
03:29and share it with.
03:30And you want to be vulnerable and you want to be normal with.
03:33So, now you have to be sorted when you're not sorted at all.
03:37So, it is...
03:38And I think that is the connect that I had with her the most.
03:41Yeah.
03:42I guess Khushi and me have not spoken as much.
03:44I've spoken more to her about it
03:45because we did have this ability to bond over...
03:48She spoke to me about the YouTube comments
03:50and she'd spoken about the trailer coming out
03:51and I couldn't be there for the trailer
03:52and I was shooting in London.
03:54And my heart went out to her
03:55because I know how that vacuum feels.
