00:00There are people who don't have Rs. 5, so we give them food for free.
00:09But we have kept Rs. 5 so that people feel dignity, self-respect, and that we are not eating for free.
00:23We have decided on a very healthy menu because we have taken care of the fact that it is a hospital.
00:28We serve items like rajma rice, chhole rice, and dal rice.
00:32It is easy to cook and serve people.
00:37While working in animal welfare, we got a chance to work in human welfare when there was a flood in Noida and Delhi.
00:59At that time, when I took a patient to the government hospital to get him admitted, I realized that people here also need a lot of help.
01:07At that time, I had an idea.
01:09I thought it would be great if they could arrange food there.
01:13Because food is a hope for them and gives them a sense of satisfaction and happiness that they can eat food for Rs. 5.
01:22For the food safety reasons and for the government obligations, we have obtained a certification of FSSI.
01:30We ensure that the food is in a healthy environment, fresh food, good ingredients are used, and cleanliness is taken care of.
01:38The food is ready by 9.30 pm.
01:43By 9.30-9.45 pm, we go to the government hospital and set up our stall.
01:47By 12.30 pm, all our food is served.
01:49The shift is from 12 to 9 pm.
01:54I ensure that I distribute the food in my presence.
01:58It is difficult to manage this with a job.
02:01But I get a lot of happiness by serving food to people and animals.
02:06It is my passion and my passion project.
02:09I ensure that I deploy all my free time in this project.
02:13The biggest challenge of serving food is that when we come back from there,
02:17we have to refuse a lot of people because the food is limited.
02:22The second major challenge is the funds.
02:25We are not a big organization or a big team.
02:29So we are not able to raise funds.
02:31People are not aware of our project.
02:34How much does it cost?
02:38It costs Rs. 9,000-10,000 per day to cook and serve this food.
02:43Rs. 5 is just a token.
02:45And in Rs. 5, you can get the cost of the food that you are serving.
02:48Apart from this, there is food, food items, people's salaries,
02:53transportation costs of vans, their EMIs, people's salaries,
02:58and the rents that we have taken on Infra.
03:02It is not always possible to raise funds.
03:04It is not always possible for people to donate.
03:07So I have to be at the forefront and support this initiative.
03:11I have to use my credit cards.
03:21There are some families who cook food for us and send it to us.
03:26And we serve that food there.
03:33My vision is to serve food to at least 3,000 people
03:37because there is a lot of need and there are a lot of people.
03:40Plus, there are a couple of other locations in the city
03:43where people come from different walks of life.
03:46Like daily wages workers, or daily hawkers, or laborers.
03:51There are people who are not able to afford good, affordable food.
03:56So this is my vision.
