The Met Office forecasts rain easing in the south-east on Monday, though showers may linger in the north-west.
Transcript
00:00Storm Burr over the weekend brought with it strong winds and heavy outbreaks of rain.
00:05Now, the weather looks set to settle down and generally much lighter winds,
00:09even though temperatures are fairly similar to what we'll see this afternoon.
00:12It should still feel more pleasant in that sunshine, those lighter winds,
00:15but still those stronger winds continuing in the far northeast of Scotland,
00:19so feeling a little bit chillier here.
00:22Now, Tuesday night into Wednesday, that high-pressure building,
00:25so we're likely to see plenty of clear skies overnight,
00:28and with colder air still mainly crossing the north,
00:31we could see quite a sharp frost by the time we reach Wednesday morning.
00:34And with clear skies, much lighter winds,
00:36that always leads us into the risk of seeing some fog as well.
00:39So a cold start on Wednesday, particularly in the north,
00:42with a chance of some frost and some early mist and fog patches likely as well,
00:46perhaps even seeing some freezing fog patches in the north by the time we reach Wednesday.
00:50And then, of course, we're likely to see that wet and windy weather
00:53start to move its way through into the south as well.
00:56That's it from me. I hope you managed to see some sunshine. Bye-bye.
