00:00DNA does not attend or really continue to be an issue. We've done audits and we've
00:06phoned patients to find out the underlying causes because we are asking
00:11patients to travel further so we wanted to make sure was it was that the reason
00:14that people have told us that that is not the reason why they're not turning
00:17up but we phone them three days before their operation to ask them if they're
00:21definitely coming for their operation and still people aren't aren't coming. I
00:25believe it's linked to social deprivation and in other words people
00:29do not want to admit that they can't take days off work and they're
00:34forgiving, they're forgoing their operation at the expense of
00:38maintaining their livelihood and I think that's a sad indictment of our
00:42society so we have to try to have wraparound support to that.
