A new PM in Pakistan, an old speech on Kashmir.
Transcript
00:00We have good relations with India, but the peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue cannot be achieved.
00:11We will raise our voices for the Kashmiri brothers and sisters in every forum.
00:30Labour is not a matter of choice, it is something you have to live with.
00:48Unfortunately, our relations with India could not be better.
00:53I am not here to blame anyone.
00:59When Nawaz Sharif raised his hand for peace, he was the same Nawaz Sharif who went to the Assembly of the United Nations and gave a powerful and inspiring speech for the Kashmiris' right to self-determination and freedom.
01:23And today, when Ghazwana was captured in August 2019 and Article 370 was abolished, what else did we do?
01:41Did we take any serious action? Did we engage in any serious diplomacy? Did we try to find out what is happening with the Kashmiris?
01:53Kashmiri brothers and sisters are being killed day and night in the valleys of Kashmir, and the Kashmir valley has turned red with their blood.
02:03I would like to say that we have good relations with India, but the peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue cannot be achieved.
02:17We will raise our voices for the Kashmiri brothers and sisters in every forum, and we will support them diplomatically and morally.
02:34This is our right and they are our brothers.
02:38Mr. Speaker, I wish India understood this.
02:43And I would like to advise Prime Minister Modi that he should understand that the poverty, unemployment, illness, lack of education, business, and unemployment around the world,
03:01Why do we want to harm our own and future generations?
03:08The issue of Kashmir should be resolved according to the will of the people and the aspirations of the Kashmiris.
03:15And both sides should end poverty, eliminate poverty, create employment, bring progress and prosperity.
