00:05names in music. In 2022, when Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she announced
00:10her intention to record a rock album. I figure if I'm gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,
00:17I'm gonna have to earn it. She's finally making good on that promise with a 30-track album that
00:23will include 21 covers such as Stairway to Heaven, Purple Rain, and We Are the Champions,
00:28as well as nine rock and roll originals. Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Stevie Nicks, Pink, Chris Stapleton,
00:34Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Sting, and Kid Rock are just some of the featured artists. The album
00:39closes with two massive collaborations. One is a cover of Let It Be with surviving Beatles members
00:44Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and the other is a cover of Freebird with Lynyrd Skynyrd.
00:48Rockstar is set to release on November 17th.
