00:00It's been three months since the Supreme Court dropped a bombshell on us and dipped for the summer.
00:05Now, they're back in session.
00:06And there's a new member on the court, Justice Katonji Brown-Jackson.
00:10She is the first black woman to serve in the U.S. Supreme Court.
00:13These are some of the cases that they're going to see this term.
00:16Sackett v. EPA will rule on the Clean Water Act's reach when it comes to building on areas deemed as wetlands.
00:22The joint cases, Students for Fair Admission v. Harvard and University of North Carolina,
00:28are about how race is taken into account during the college admissions process.
00:32The group said these policies discriminate against Asian American and white applicants.
00:37Moore v. Harper could give states the power to regulate how federal elections are conducted.
00:42And 303 Creative LLC v. Alanis is about LGBTQ plus discrimination and religious objection to working with same-sex couples.
