00:00Tom Brady announced he is retiring for good from football.
00:03I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring for good. I really thank you guys so much,
00:10to every single one of you, for supporting me. My family, my friends, my teammates,
00:19my competitors. I could go on forever. There's too many.
00:23This brings an end to his 23-year NFL career, which involved seven Super Bowl wins,
00:28the most of any player, and five Super Bowl MVPs. Brady previously announced he was retiring
00:33on February 1st of 2022 before retracting his statement 40 days later and returning to play
00:38this past season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady informed the Buccaneers of his most recent
00:42decision two hours prior to sharing the news on social media. The Buccaneers tweeted their
00:46appreciation along with the caption, thank you Tom. This past summer, Brady signed a $375 million
00:5310-year contract to work as an analyst for Fox Sports, although it is unclear when he will start.
