This woman has always loved her collared parakeet, Sjakie.
At home, the parakeet often seemed lonely, missing the company of other birds.
In an effort to provide Sjakie with a better life, she made the difficult decision to take her parakeet to the zoo, where it could live with over 200 other birds.
Though saying goodbye was incredibly hard, she knew it was the best choice for the bird’s happiness and well-being.
With tears in her eyes, she showered Sjakie with affectionate kisses and hugs, feeling an overwhelming mix of emotions as she said farewell.
