01:34without forgetting also all the speed meetings that are programmed,
01:38the Diva Dicks that are also programmed every day.
01:43So it is a rather unique event in this city, the city of light, the cultural capital of the kingdom.
01:53So, precisely, a singular, particular programming, very diverse.
01:59During these years, during all these exhibitions, these conferences, these concerts,
02:06when we come with an 11th edition, what do we want to bring more,
02:11and what assessment can you make of these 10 years,
02:14precisely in these exchanges between these musicians, these professionals,
02:18who are more and more numerous, to be present at this so singular festival?
02:24Listen, you know, there is a faithful community at this meeting,
02:28which comes every year.
02:30And we feel it, we see it, that every year it is filled with other figures who join us,
02:35and who also remain in this fidelity at this meeting.
02:39So it is true that it is very challenging to satisfy this whole community.
02:45Obviously, in addition, the number of candidates that we receive every year is impressive,
02:50of artists from all over the world, not only from the African continent,
02:54in which we pay attention, that we look at with particular attention,
02:59but also from faraway countries who wish to be present.
03:04Of course, the programming cannot exceed a certain number, like any festival,
03:10but we try each time, with the jury, with our partners,
03:14with all those who work around Visafromusik,
03:18to have a high-quality, high-level programming,
03:22but also to have around this programming,
03:25which is offered to the public of Oraba,
03:28and to all these professionals who come from Morocco and elsewhere,
03:33to also schedule very strong moments throughout the day,
03:37with debates, with networking meetings, with speed meetings,
03:42with workshops that we offer to young, future professionals of culture.
03:49By the way, a lot of young people who have been trained in Visafromusik
03:52have now become actors in creative and cultural industries in our country,
03:57but also in Africa, since there is a quota reserved each year
04:01for young professionals of culture from our continent.
04:05So, Brahim Zined, beyond this networking, beyond the presentation of these artists,
04:12there is a very important aspect, and I had the opportunity this morning to attend this conference,
04:16there is also a question of heritage and preservation,
04:20and the fact that today, on the occasion of this 11th edition,
04:23a web page has been launched that brings together all the instruments of African music,
04:33and to hear a master say that today there are young people who are interested in lute,
04:39so really you also play a role in preserving the African musical heritage in the Arab world.
04:45Of course, traditional instruments bring a very unique sound,
04:55which also gives African music a certain identity.
04:59And then, it is still a link with our roots, with our territories, with ecology, with all that.
05:05So, the instruments are also, in a way, showcases of a territory and a place,
05:12and this is what gives Africa this rather unique diversity.
05:17Here, I salute the work of Rita, who fought for years to develop this instrument,
05:25this unique list of instruments, a work that is not simple.
05:33And today, I am very happy that we are exhibiting these instruments at Visa4Music,
05:43and to organize a debate around our common heritage in Africa.
05:48So, just one last question.
05:51Visa4Music has known, of course, through these meetings, through these debates and these conferences,
05:57first of all, to introduce all our musicians, perhaps not all of them,
06:02but also to push others and encourage them to make music, to make art their profession.
06:10Can we also say that Visa4Music has succeeded in making music, singing, our musical traditions,
06:20a heritage for this youth that we say, well, just post on your phone,
06:25where we also talk about artificial intelligence.
06:27But Visa4Music has precisely been able to bring this very friendly, very warm side
06:35that music brings, and music of proximity, music of young people.
06:39I think that youth, despite all the change that the world is experiencing with digitalization
06:46and with the development of the IA, social networks and all that,
06:51youth is still very sensitive to its heritage.
06:53And we see it in the research, even in the debates that there are today.
06:59I think that youth is more and more sensitive to this heritage,
07:04and we see that this youth also, in the end, reinvents itself in the heritage itself.
07:15I mean, we now see practitioners who play the ribabamazir, who play the genbri,
07:21we see a certain number of young people who also take inspiration from their heritage
07:26to create singular projects, etc.
07:29So I think that Visa4Music also, through all these communities that come from all over the world,
07:35and to see this diversity, and in particular the heritage of each one,
07:40and the wealth of each one, makes these young people also very, very,
07:45they are in the desire to take inspiration from their roots
07:49and create something special that looks like them from their heritage.
