The Steyning Bookshop is celebrating 40 years in business in Steyning High Street having converted a house into a shop

00:00I can't believe that it's 40 years since we first opened this bookshop. It's a wonderful,

00:20wonderful anniversary to have. December the 8th was when we opened, which was a very,

00:25very busy time. My brother-in-law was putting down the last paving stones as we opened the

00:32shop door, and we were still putting books onto the shelves. Now we've got this huge

00:37children's area, and we've still got our lovely garden that we have all our events,

00:42a lot of our summer events in, and the shop has just kept us all going in Stenning, having

00:50a lot of fun. We're very well supported by everybody in Stenning, and we're really grateful

00:56to all the people that do come to the bookshop and keep independent bookshops alive.
