00:00You're probably already familiar with Jack Doherty, considering he has nearly 15 million
00:05subscribers on YouTube alone.
00:07You're probably a lot less familiar with his wife, McKinley Richardson, who married the
00:12controversial content creator in November 2024.
00:16Plenty of newer fans may think of McKinley Richardson as Jack Doherty's wife first, but
00:21there's a whole legion of folks who've gotten to know Richardson on her own terms.
00:24She has a dedicated social media following that's stuck with her for more than half a
00:28decade now.
00:29And even though her relationship with Doherty definitely exposed her to an even larger audience,
00:34Richardson accomplished her rise to internet fame all by herself.
00:38Richardson really burst onto the scene when she started uploading videos to TikTok in
00:412019.
00:42Her content there mostly focused on short vlog-style videos, but over time, she started
00:47working in on-the-street interviews and the occasional giveaway.
00:51Richardson's TikToks have gotten nearly 30 million likes, and she has 1.6 million followers
00:56on that platform alone.
00:57Her Instagram account also has 1.5 million followers, and her main YouTube channel, which
01:02is her least active space online, has over 7.5 million subscribers.
01:07That's an impressive following, even before one considers Richardson's other online ventures.
01:11She even has extra YouTube and Instagram channels for various types of content.
01:15She's a social media star in her own right, and her relationship with Doherty is just
01:19icing on the cake.
01:22Richardson and Doherty are constantly online, so you're unlikely to see either of them go
01:26very long without posting something about their relationship.
01:29Whether it's a birthday post or a shopping vlog, you're always going to see them together
01:33on their various social media platforms.
01:35Even if you catch every one of their posts, however, you might not actually know much
01:39about their private lives.
01:40There's a constant supply of content coming from Richardson and Doherty, but it seems
01:44like they keep all the truly intimate details offline.
01:46As an example, when Richardson and Doherty started dating, instead of making a big announcement
01:51to their friends, they just started posting pictures together.
01:55We've mentioned on a podcast that they met through mutual friends, but they really haven't
01:58revealed many details about the early stages of their relationship.
02:02So much of their relationship exists on camera, but it seems like they're happy to let whatever
02:06wasn't filmed fade out of people's minds.
02:08It's not uncommon for internet personalities to start dating, but the pressure those relationships
02:13face can be immense.
02:14That might be why McKinley-Richardson and Jack Doherty took a unique approach to sharing
02:18their relationship with their fans.
02:20This has backfired on occasion, when the couple has been seen arguing with one another on
02:24camera, but their way of life seems to work pretty well for the most part.
02:29Anyone who's been following McKinley for most of her career can tell you that her content
02:33has changed a bit since she and Jack Doherty took their relationship public.
02:37In the early days, Richardson made vlog-style, slice-of-life videos with her friends, but
02:41more and more of her uploads have started to center on her relationship with Doherty.
02:46Richardson's primary YouTube channel is almost entirely dedicated to her relationship, but
02:50she's still looking to entertain her audience, which means she's still following the usual
02:54YouTube trends.
02:55Instead of a big giveaway video, she'll post a vlog where she gifts Doherty an expensive
02:59car.
03:00Or instead of pranking strangers in public, she'll mess with Doherty by showing him a
03:03fake pregnancy test.
03:05I've sent you, like, a pregnancy test, and I took it, and it's positive."
03:12She still makes vlogs and creates videos with her friends, but she splits her uploads between
03:16her personal YouTube page and the channel she co-owns with her husband, appropriately
03:20called Jack and McKinley.
03:22Regardless of where her next video is uploaded, it seems she and Jack are joined at the hip,
03:26and they typically seem to have more fun filming together than separately.
03:30In March 2024, an ex-employee of Jack Doherty's named Matthew ignited some drama when he claimed
03:36that McKinley-Richardson had cheated on Doherty with him.
03:39Matthew made the claim publicly on X, uploading a three-second video clip showing him kissing
03:44Richardson in the back of a car.
03:46He also shared screenshots of friendly messages between himself and Richardson, which he claimed
03:51was further proof of the alleged infidelity.
03:53Both Doherty and Richardson told a very different version of events.
03:56In a lengthy post, Richardson explained that Matthew had come on to her strongly and insisted
04:01that they were dating, even though she said they were not.
04:04She even said that Matthew forcibly kissed her and touched her inappropriately.
04:08In a video posted to X, Doherty bagged up Richardson's version of events, saying,
04:12"'Cause I have so much dirt against you, and I have so many girls ready to come forward
04:15about you, and you've done way worse."
04:16Matthew then uploaded his own response video, once again insisting that he and Richardson
04:21had been seeing each other in secret.
04:23The drama ultimately faded away, and though fans are still confused by the whole thing,
04:27it clearly didn't leave too much of a lasting impact on Doherty's relationship with Richardson.
04:31After all, the couple got married less than a year after Matthew's bombshell claims.
04:36It's no secret that McKinley-Richardson and Jack Doherty are helping each other to grow
04:40their social media reach.
04:42The pair have only gotten more popular since they started dating, to the point where even
04:46their shared YouTube channel has well over a million subscribers all to itself.
04:50Because of just how popular the couple has become, and likely because of Doherty's penchant
04:54for courting controversy, there are quite a few people who think that the whole relationship
04:58is just one big marketing move.
05:00That's a pretty natural assumption for some people to make, especially when Doherty and
05:04Richardson use big relationship milestones like their engagement as fodder for videos.
05:09"'Cause you love my life.
05:10Will you marry me?"
05:12"'Love you.'"
05:13Plus, Sketch and Faith Ordway also filmed a wedding for the Views just this year, so
05:17the assumption is not totally out of the ordinary.
05:20Beyond that, however, there's at least one weird piece of evidence that might support
05:23this not-so-romantic fan theory.
05:26Richardson and Doherty livestreamed their wedding, and many people have accused Doherty
05:29of using viewbots to boost the stream, pointing to the fact that Doherty's chat was almost
05:33entirely inactive despite having over 17,000 concurrent viewers as proof.
05:39Doherty responded to that claim on his actual wedding day, no less, with a video on X, claiming
05:43all his active chatters were actually on the lesser-known streaming site Party.com.
05:48This isn't something fans or haters can prove one way or another, but you can't expect doubters
05:53to keep wearing their tinfoil hats for the foreseeable future.
05:56In the meantime, this power couple will no doubt continue their takeover of YouTube and
06:00beyond.
