A recent UK government decision to change inheritance tax has gone down incredibly badly with farmers, and there are now protests going on around Wales and the rest of the UK. Senedd members are bringing the questions to Eluned Morgan, asking if she can defend the decisions of her party on a UK level.

00:09There are arguments that farmers have a lot of help already, but some support farmers saying that they need all the help they can get.
00:16Eluned Morgan, while praising farmers and their contribution to Welsh civic society, wants to make it clear that it can't all be support, and there needs to be give and take.
00:26They provide food, they provide a contribution to the economy, a huge social contribution, a cultural contribution.
00:33As someone who represents a rural area, I know how important they are as the bedrock to that economy.
00:40And that's why they are one of the sectors that receives the highest amount of subsidy in terms of our economy.
00:49But we were left with a black hole. That is the truth of it.
00:53And farmers use public services. They send their children to local schools, they use the local hospitals, and somebody has to pay for it.
01:03Andrew R.T. Davies is particularly vocal about this issue and wants to see farmers supported where possible.
01:09But Eluned Morgan is hastened to call out the policy by UK Labour, given that she believes that very few farms and farmers are actually affected by the changes.
01:19Will you now find the backbone, First Minister, to call this policy out for what it is? It will be the destruction of family farms in Wales.

01:35Again, let's wait to make sure that the agricultural unions can make their representation as has been agreed by the Ministers.
01:47The Welsh Farmers Union will have an opportunity to show their workings, and the Treasury will be able to show their workings, and then we need to come to a conclusion on this issue.
