00:00U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump has plans to carry out his biggest deportation in the history of the United States.
00:07That's why our Ambassador in the U.S. ordered the illegal Filipinos to leave the country while it's still early.
00:14Here's the news of Dano Tincunco.
00:16And on day one, I will launch the largest deportation program of criminals in American history.
00:27The campaign promise of U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump was started by the plan a few months before his appointment in his second term on January 20, 2025.
00:39To do that, Trump announced that Tom Homan will be the border czar,
00:44who was the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement or ICE of his first administration.
00:51Trump also said that he will declare a national emergency and the U.S. military will use it to implement it.
00:58According to the U.S. Homeland Security, founded by GMA News Research,
01:03the Philippines is the fifth country with the largest number of unauthorized immigrants in the United States, estimated at 300,000.
01:11But if the Philippine Ambassador to the U.S., Jose Manuel Romualdez, will ask if you are illegally staying in the United States,
01:18it's better to leave now than to be accused of deportation.
01:23This time, it's really serious because the arrival of the people here in the United States is already strong.
01:33That's why President Trump won. That's their main issue. There are too many illegal immigrants who are entering the U.S. now.
01:42Romualdez explained that if a person is deported, he will not have a chance to return to the U.S.
01:51Unless he leaves now and applies to enter the U.S. legally again.
01:56Our advice to our countrymen is that if you don't have a chance to get a status while you're in the U.S.,
02:03go home first and you have a better than even chance because if you are deported, you will not be able to return here.
02:11The Department of Migrant Workers said in the first term of Trump that 3,500 Filipinos were deported from 2017 to 2020.
02:21The DMW is ready to help the OFWs, documented or not, that may be affected by Trump's mass deportation plan in his new term.
02:30President Marcos said that the government is also preparing for this.
02:35Our ambassador is already working on that.
02:37Dana Tingcunco reporting for GMA Integrated News.
