00:00Two separate fires broke out in Pasig City and San Juan City,

00:04where more than 1,000 residents were affected.

00:08Denise Osorio has the details.

00:16A large fire broke out in houses in Barangay Mangdahan, Pasig City last night.

00:22Around 6.30 p.m., the fire started inside a house

00:26that was filled with ashes.

00:28One of the residents here uses wood for cooking.

00:35That's why it's possible that the fire came from there.

00:39This resident here is looking for a way to make a living.

00:45The fire spread quickly because the informal settlers' houses were made of light materials.

00:50It was completely fired out after almost four hours.

00:54Meanwhile, the residents of the two evacuation centers continued their work.

00:59They received help, such as personal hygiene items and other necessities.

01:05We are very thankful to Mayor Vico Soto for sending help to us.

01:11The barangay prepared 1,000 food hot meals.

01:16Almost 1,000 individuals were affected by the fire.

01:20It's possible that the number of people affected by the fire will continue to increase.

01:25As of 3.30 a.m., seven people were injured and one person died from the fire.

01:31Residents are worried about how they will start their day, especially now that it's Christmas.

01:36We only brought one box of clothing.

01:54Almost 36 families were also burned in Barangay Cabayanan, San Juan.

01:59At 4 p.m., the fire spread quickly.

02:04The fire was declared out at 5.41 p.m.

02:08Meanwhile, the fire victims continue their work in San Juan City Gymnasium.

02:12Under investigation, several houses were also burned.
