00:00I was at one of P. Diddy's freak-offs.
00:03Freak-offs.
00:04You saw celebrities there that you recognized.
00:07Mm-hmm.
00:08They were a rapper that we all know.
00:11Straight-up porn directed by Diddy.
00:13I'm just grateful to have made it out.
00:15Diddy's sons, two of them who are now waging their own legal battle, not to do with his
00:22case, not directly anyway, this is about the book about Kim Porter and her son, the two
00:28sons that she had with Diddy, Quincy and Christian, have now gone after the author
00:35of that book because the book, it's called Kim Porter, Tell It All, and the pseudonym
00:42author is Jamal Millwood.
00:44It's actually a guy named Courtney Burgess.
00:47What we found out this morning is that Quincy and Christian have fired off a cease and desist
00:53letter to Courtney and his attorney, Ariel Mitchell Kidd, saying, you've got to stop
00:58telling people that you have our mother's actual diary because we don't, one, they don't
01:04believe that he really does have her diary, and they say that if you do, that belongs
01:10to us.
01:11That is our property as her rightful heirs.
01:16This is really interesting because they're not publishing, he's not publishing the diary,
01:22he's writing from the diary.
01:23No, but actually he has said the book is her diary entries unedited.
01:28That's what he said in multiple interviews.
01:30I got it.
01:31Yeah, so assuming that's true, they have a copyright problem and the kids claim that
01:36they own the copyright as the heirs to it.
01:39Just using her name in the title is not against the law.
01:44They could do that.
01:45They could certainly write an unauthorized biography about Kim Porter.
01:48There's nothing the kids could do with that.
01:49The only real issue here is, is he actually quoting from the documentary in writing the
01:54book?
01:55From the diary.
01:56From the diary, sorry.
01:57If he's quoting from her diary.
01:58Jason-
01:59He said that it is that.
02:00Now, whether or not he actually has, because what Courtney Burgess said, by the way, we
02:05interviewed Courtney and his attorney in New York a few weeks ago.
02:09They told us that they had just met with the federal prosecutors and actually turned
02:14over a copy of the diary and other materials that he had to the feds.
02:21So I'm not even sure why the feds would be interested in this and how it pertains to
02:26Diddy's case, but they called him in anyway.
02:29Hi, it's Dami Rock here calling from Brooklyn about the Diddy boys saying cease and desist.
02:37Now, I mean, the main fear I have is like, you know, for our own stories after we die,
02:43because it means that we lose control of our legacy and of our narrative.
02:47And in this case, like Kim Porter's story has completely been tainted.
02:52So it's almost like, you know, the horse has left the stable right now.
02:57So I would say, wouldn't you say, Harvey, that, you know, by law, you know, this guy
03:02shouldn't really be able to publish this.
03:05The whole point is that it's now being leaked.
03:07And my question would be that if there is any type of crime that possibly could have
03:12been committed, wouldn't it make sense that, you know, the feds should have a look at the
03:17contents of her diary?
03:19The only thing also is that, you know, for poor Kim, like when it comes to rest in peace,
03:24she certainly can't rest in peace.
03:26And maybe that's the whole point right now.
03:27Maybe her spirit is saying something needs to be unearthed.
03:30And this is the reason why it's all coming to light right now.
03:33OK, you know, by the way, when we were doing, when we were talking to this woman on Skype,
03:38we got some new information.
03:39Yes, we just checked the site where they have been selling the book online.
03:44It's shut down.
03:45So the Combs boys had given him in their cease and desist five days to shut this down or
03:51get sued.
03:53He took it seriously because it's already been shut down.
03:56Smart move.
