00:00The Red Alert Status has been raised in the province of La Union as a preparation for the storm Pepito.
00:07This is the report of Chester Trinidad of the Philippine Information Agency Region 1.
00:16The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of La Union has raised the Red Alert Status
00:21in their Emergency Operations Center as a preparation for the Super Typhoon Pepito.
00:26According to the PDRRMO, all rescue equipment and assets are ready for deployment.
00:31The 16 rescue teams are on standby and are assigned to their duties such as Emergency Medical Services,
00:37Search, Rescue and Retrieval, Surveillance, 911 Emergency Telecommunications and Incident Management Teams.
00:44The storm surge with a height of more than 3 meters is expected to affect the town of Agoo,
00:51Aringay, Bacnotan, Balawan, Bangar, Bawang, Caba, City of San Fernando, Luna and San Juan.
00:58The province is now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3
01:02where moderate to significant winds are expected in life and property.
01:08According to the OCD Region 1,
01:10rivers and tributaries in Amburayan, Baroro, Lower Bawang and Aringay may be affected.
01:16Residents, especially those near Burol and Dalistis, were warned to be alert to possible flash floods and landslides.
01:25Meanwhile, the DSWD Field Office 1 reported that more than 144,000 family food packs and non-food items
01:32were distributed to the region as part of their assistance from the effects of the storm until now.
