Polls have closed across parts of Adelaide’s southern suburbs for the Black by-election, with residents casting their ballots to choose a replacement for former opposition leader David Speirs. But with almost 40 percent of people voting early, it may take days to determine the result.

01:39Commission themselves and we'll wait and see how that goes through the Parliament over
01:43the coming weeks.
