00:00there are 28 potential scenarios to pit two teams against each other in Atlanta in the SEC
00:07championship game. 28 potentials, Kev. It is very difficult to try to ascertain how or why or who
00:15could play in that SEC title game. I will tell you this though, there are eight teams that enter
00:21this third to last Saturday with two losses or less in conference action. Three teams with just
00:28a single loss in SEC play. Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas. Yeah, the research that I attempted to
00:37do, okay, suggested that if chalk holds, it will be Texas against Alabama inside the SEC's title
00:46game. I think considering that research mirrors an odds board that has right now Bama well out in
00:53front of Georgia or Tennessee or anyone else within the SEC, I think that that is clearly then
01:00correct. What that means is you're going to need a somewhat unforeseen upset somewhere involving
01:07Alabama who and what they could lose to Mercer. It would have no impact on this though if they
01:13lose to Mercer. I think DeBoer might get fired at the end of the game and Milrow might have to
01:17transfer. So there's a whole different conversation to be had. But after that,
01:22Lacey, I know they have the game against Auburn and I don't remember who was that one other game
01:27that Alabama plays. Visit to Oklahoma next week. That's right. So two games that they will be
01:33considerable favorites in, though the Iron Bulls, the Iron Bull, I've always said that.
01:38You talk about Joe, you know, Wisconsin needing a big win. Man, if you're Venables, you want to
01:43talk about the season, you bring Bama into your building. It would do that. I think this SEC race,
01:50it is really interesting because it does project now. It's very possible the loser of the SEC
01:57championship game is sitting on three losses. Yes, which we would never have thought at the
02:02start of the year. Right. But there's more parity now with Oklahoma and Texas in there
02:07and other teams that are coming up. You see Texas A&M, at least for the most part,
02:11over-exceeding expectations. They had an eight and a half preseason win total.
02:15They're already sitting at seven and two. Texas, we know that they're strong. Ole Miss, right? Ole
02:20Miss, the win last week for Ole Miss really threw this whole conference championship odds
02:25into in terms of just complete disarray because a lot of people just thought Georgia would roll.
02:31We'll get Ole Miss out of the way and then it's just, you know, we'll take care of business.
02:35It didn't work out that way. And Ole Miss is really, to me, the dark horse now because it's
02:40not just the offense with Lane Kiffin. It is that defense carrying them. Much like we've seen
02:46every SEC champion, right? What is the difference between the SEC and everybody else? They can run
02:52on the defensive front. They can get after it. They get after the quarterback. They're solid
02:56in terms of run support. Georgia dominated TCU two years ago, wasn't even close. These are big
03:01boys for Ole Miss, right? That loss to Georgia last year is the main reason why we're seeing
03:07the dominance out of Lane Kiffin this year because of how they stepped up in the transfer
03:12portal. And we'll see how this plays out. I really am curious about this Tennessee game
03:18and we'll see what Texas A&M does the rest of the way. But I do just want to clarify something.
03:21When you talk about Ole Miss as a dark horse, you're referring to winning a national championship
03:25because winning an SEC, it's not in their hands. It's my problem. I'm talking if they get into the
03:31dance. I'm talking big picture dark horse. I mean, keep an eye out for them. I mean,
03:36as far as the SEC, this is my thing. I myself, Joe, I'd love to be betting Georgia at eight to
03:40one and win an SEC title. Georgia has no, they don't control that. That is why Ole Miss, with
03:47what Ole Miss did last week against Georgia, that number if they play to Texas would be really light.
03:52You'd be getting an amazing number at 15 to one. That's not Ole Miss being discounted. That is
03:57Ole Miss's chances of getting there being clearly very, very small.
